Just yesterday we heard from both Hillary Clinton & Obama, both respectfully congratulating president elect Trump & encouraging people to come together. Yet, right out of the gate today George is floating the notion of impeachment on the day Trump is scheduled to meet with Obama at the WH to discuss the transition of power. WOW...That's just ugly, bottom of barrel stuff right there.

He's a Clinton administration official. And a moron to boot if he thinks a someone could be "convicted" in a civil suit. Then again, let's look at the morons that listen to this tiny little fellow talk.

Btw, I could have sworn he said he'd move to Australia if Trump was elected. I'd hate to call him a liar.

Did Democrats win the House while I was sleeping or is Stephanopoulos really that stupid?

Impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors. Lack of morality in business may be reprehensible but not easily transformed to a high crime.

It would herald the end of the Democrat party. The people have spoken, they're just butt hurt over the golden girl being retired to pasture. Besides I don't think they would like much a President Pence with VP Ryan.

It is hard to think when one is having a “liberal” meltdown.

I'm sure the Republican senate will begin hearings in January.

Whether he is stupid or not, he is scum. He was the first one trying to blame the Tea Party for the Boston Marathon bombing. I don't see a long future for him, the networks have to understand that if they don't make some changes they will not survive long. Just look at the exit polling, every single network had to disclose it wasn't accurate and every single network had to stretch out their calling of states because they knew nobody trusted them anymore...

And if their hope is to wait until they win the Senate in 2018, they had better get to Arizona and Nevada and start campaigning there now. Because those are the only two seats they have a prayer of picking up.....

Is your argument that he's wrong or just that we should ignore the presidents upcoming racketeering trial?

That's true. I was going through all the channels on election night and Fox had the most up to date numbers, CNN lagged behind by at least 30 minutes or longer. Also, it looked like CNN was using a garage as a studio. But you should have seen their faces and heard their voices. It was great.

George has bright future with Media Matters or MoveOn no matter what the networks do.
You really think the media will reface itself? It's possible, anything is, but I doubt it. These folks are too cozy & loyal to one another. I'd bet FOX will bend left before any of leftwing media bend right. But, we'll see.

A civil lawsuit does not fall into the category of "felonies and misdemeanors" - and he knows it. What a joke.

You mean the president elect's trial, right? The....the civil case? The one he can't and won't be impeached for? If so, yea, he's wrong.

Stephenopolis is full of crap. If Trump is smart, he will amicably settle this Trump University deal and any other civil suits to get them out of the way. He has much bigger fish to fry now. Anyone who would suggest impeaching Trump before he even takes office is an ******** just like the people from the GOP who were whining about impeaching Clinton before the damn election was even over. It is time for all Americans to come together and get behind their new President. Cheers

I flipped between NBC and CBS most of the night. It all seemed to go wrong when they called Ohio, after that it was downhill for the liberals. Some dude from Slate was already playing the race card by the time they called Florida, it was really a pathetic showing by liberals. The only silver lining was when they all had to admit how utterly wrong they were. While they wouldn't actually call some states they knew at least two hours ahead of Clinton's concession what the real results were, yet pretended they were holding our for some miracle, except they knew that wasn't possible with WI, MI, PA, AZ, and MN all in play and most leaning Trump. In any circumstance besides a Trump victory, I'd say their performance was shameful, but the sheer hilarity of the reality of what happened sort of dampens any anger towards them... :)

I have no idea why you think he can't be impeached for racketeering

So, he's a wealthy dumbass that you respect. I'm happy for both of you.

Tell me, if his job allegedly allows him to investigate things a bit more than I do, how is it that I know a president can't be impeached for the actions he/she took before assuming office and Stephanopoulos does not?

Perhaps, it's because he's just a political hack who plays a journalist on TV.
