Some Ukrainian fools saw the refueling lines and decided it was being towed ....backwards.:roflol:

Maybe they should start looking at Poroshenko's wealth which had tripled last year while the people were starving, and figure out how they're going to keep warm this winter instead of trying to fight a giant that can crush them with one blow.

...And Russia would have every right to do so, since so many Ukrainians are in Russia now for survival. But that's okay, the Russian army needs all the men they can get... I mean it's a big country.

In Ukraine, utility bills increased by 3 times. The cost of gas 10 times. The salary remained the same... Ukrainian fascists imposed a 15% tax on pensions! Supposedly the money needed for the army. For two years, 7 million Ukrainian citizens have left the country. The EU markets are closed to Ukrainian goods. Ukrainian oligarchs all the money kept in Western banks. The oligarchs are robbing the Ukraine looted and exported to the West. The standard model of colonial robbery. But if Ukrainians are so stupid, they deserve it. I rather have a nuclear war than the same scenario for The Russia.

Yikes! Makes you realize the rush it must be to land a fighter on a any countries "little" carrier out at sea.

Balls of steel, those fly by's and "touchdowns", wow. Makes me pucker up a bit just watching

Russian warplanes have already been flying missions from Latakia airbase in Syria for quite a while, so strictly speaking the Kusnetzov isn't needed anyway, but serves as a useful backup floating airfield.
Also maybe it was being used as a ferry to bring more planes to Latakia.

:roflol:..yah..the russkies need all the men they can get..since most of them are too drunk to operate any of their hardware or don't care too..and seems russian military is gathering fools from the far east to fight in Ukraine..since most Russians closer are refusing..I guess watching their comrades being cremated in portable ovens and shipped back to their babushka mothers has changed their minds...but there's always idiots like motorola who will gladly sacrifice themselves as mercenaries for a few Yankee $$$$.:flagus:

Yeah, our highly esteemed member and all around good guy is alas like most of America. Educated by MSM. It isn't his fault, it's the fault of what passed for news these days. Being educated about Russia isn't as profitable as talking about trump's potty mouth. Becoming aware of what is going on in the rest of the world that might eventually affect us, is insignificant when compared to covering grief counseling for some college kids who had mental break downs when Hillary lost and trump won. I am waiting for MSM to call for trump apologizes for what he had done to these children in college.

MSM never told anyone how tensions between the US and Russia have been ramping up, as we try to surround Russia on the west, south, north wit NATO forces, with our missiles on their borders, as if we are just waiting for a reason to attack. This costs vast sums of money to do this. Why would we just waste money like that? Russia has not threatened to conquer western Europe. So what's the deal here? We are already waging economic war on Russia, and for what? Because people in crimea voted to join Russia as most are Russian, and Russia jumped on it because they have to have access to their only warm water port? That port is essential to Russia. They have always had access. And with the CIA fueled coup, they stood a chance of losing it. It not for the removal of an elected leader, who was aligned with putin, crimea would not have voted to join Russia. Russia could not trust their future to a civil war in Ukraine which the CIA involved itself.

Hopefully trump will not continue the neocon foreign policy and will for a change conduct sane foreign policy, that doesn't cost us trillions of borrowed money.

IIRC the George Washington was stuck in Japan for like 6 months when its catapult system went completely kaputz. We started flying our crews over for the switchover because the boat was stuck there.

Every U.S. Navy's Little Crappy Ship ( LCS ) requires a tug boat escort.

Every LCS that has put to sea has broken down and had to be towed back to port.

This project should have been canceled a long time ago.

In fact, I didn't want to gloat. Just wanted to answer the Washington trolls. Any equipment breaks down sometimes, and in all countries there are bad projects.

And the LCS, Zumwalt class destroyer and the F-35 are all bad projects.

It doesn't work that way. The reason that an aircraft that normally takes a thousand feet of runway to land can land on a ship is that the aircraft carrier gets 30 knotts of speed into the wind, effectively lowering the relative stall speed (aircraft to ship) 30 to 45 knotts. Since the relative stall speed is lower on a ship heading into the wind, the distance required to stop the aircraft is small enough that arrestor cables can safely reign in the inertial energy of the plane. An aircraft carrier that cannot make 30 knotts is basically a flight museum.

Nobody thought what the ships don't tow a stern forward, how on this photo?

These two ships stand a stern to a stern. You will guess further what can do the aircraft carrier cruiser and the tanker in such situation?

Tell about it more and more often. It is usually very favorable when the opponent underestimates you :)

Everything is much simpler. Why is necessary the aircraft carrier which doesn't going anywhere and costs in port? Earlier Russia had no sea interests. Now — Syria has appeared. It is obvious that it is necessary at least once in 35 years to test the aircraft carrier in actual practice. Otherwise why he is necessary? :) Fighting tactical advantage of this campaign any, but it will allow to gain additional experience.

The side effect of it is amusing to look at all noise which was made by the West around this campaign. Though it somewhat harms Russia on the information front, but it is anyway more favorable than if the aircraft carrier and rusts in port.

I give to opponents of Russia a reason still to gloat. Today at return to Kuznetsov carrier MiG-29 has broken. Fortunately, the pilot safely catapulted.

To reduce the amount of gloating, I recommend to look at losses of planes on aircraft carriers of the USA :)

The main thing, the pilot is alive. And iron — it can be made still.

Here's the Kuznetsov on its way to Syria, a great sight..:)
There were also 7 other Russian warships with it, they could bombard Syria with their guns and missiles if they had to.

And maybe "Kuznetsov" crew mutinied and tried to go home, but the tanker would not let him, and pulled back to Syria :)

    ...

By the way, if someone interested, the surename Kuznetsov translated from Russian to English as surname Smith :)

And a little bit of Russian Internet memes.

While Kuznetsov went under black smoke, in Russia joke that it's because in the Kremlin it's not yet elected US president :) And, they say, when the president of Trump finally elected, from the pipe went white smoke :D

That black smoke that everyone saw spewing from the Russian aircraft carrier was your typical Russian diesel bunker fuel. Basically not politically correct.

The Russian navy still pays $3.80 per gallon to fuel it's warships while Obama's PC Navy pays $125 per gallon for PC green fuels in the name of political correctness.

Back during the late 50's and 60's America decided to give the American soldier, sailor, Marine and airmen an edge on the battlefield where they were exempt from stupid liberal PC environmental rules so a fighter could fly 50 MPH faster or a war ship could travel 3 knots faster or a soldier or Marine could kill the enemy with a politically incorrect bullet.

Example, the old politically incorrect M-16 A-1:
