What do you mean by "our system"?

I explained why the system we have is a bastardization of what the founders intended, and why electors voting for Clinton would be completely in line with the founders' intent.

    No.

Well no, the majority of the people chose Clinton by almost 3 million votes. I'm not sure how you can claim that is a mandate.

The system was intended to be an an election of independent electors who would independently evaluate the candidates to protect the nation from con men, charlatans, and foreign influence.

That is the way it is supposed to work.

Instead it has been bastardized to be a bunch of establishment party lackeys voting the way the party tells them to.

A look at the electoral votes will show you how. If one deducts the votes from just one state (California) Trump wins the popular vote by over a million votes and demonstrates perfectly why the Electoral College was put in place.

Are you totally unaware of how Hillary Clinton is perceived? I guess you are.
Con woman (check), charlatan (check), puppet of Wall Street and foreign oligarchs (check). That's Hillary Clinton in spades!

    The system worked as designed.
    Get used to it.

Sorry don't play your waak-a-mole games

The founding fathers said to the states YOU decide, and they did.

I asked do you believe we should have adapted what Hamilton proposed to the convention?

Why not? Seems closer to what you want than what we have.

But the fact is we didn't adapt that, it was left to the States and the States through their experimentation with the various systems decided on state popular elections. NOT one single national popular vote of which there has NEVER been in this country. They all individually settled on having a state popular vote. To now say we've been doing it wrong all this years is utter nonsense.

    In which state election?

Which Article of the Constitution says that? It's up to the individual states how those electors are chosen and what is their duty.

Question: If we change elections to the popular vote, why would a small state want to remain in a union where they had virtually no voice?

Before we argue how we tally the vote, we must first make a decision: are we still a union of 50 individual states, or are we a single centralized government divided into 50 meaningless sections? How we answer that question dictates how we tally election results.

We are still 50 individual states.
But as we become more integrated, technology, interstate highways, etc the lines do blur.
And as the fed gov't puts more mandates out it also takes away some states rights. So we've moved towards a single centralized gov't.
Will we ever be totally centralized? Hard to say, but not in the near future.

Because this is the United STATES, not the United People, and 60 percent of the states went for Trump.

Trump wins the election. Trump gains votes in the recounts, winning even more. Trump wins the electoral college vote yesterday, Hillary sees more descent than Trump. Trump is doing what he said he'd do, win so much that we'll get sick of winning. How many times can he win the same election before the far left social cultists have had enough? He isn't even President yet and he is winning already.

So much for the effort to get electors to switch votes. Just another pathetic attempt to stop Trump.

That "powerful force" just revolted against Hillary. She lost more electors than Trump did.

The definition of an act of terrorism seems to fit those who sent death threats to the college

'The calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear'

No doubt and it stands to reason why the liberal media is so outraged at Russia leaking emails making a political candidate look bad. They cannot stand competition.
