This judge thinks he's on the Supreme Court!

As far as I'm aware, regional/district courts do not have the authority to declare anything on a nationwide scale, if that were possible then it would've just taken one regional court on Obergefell and you wouldn't need the Supreme Court.

So instead, what we have here is a rogue judge who not only overstepped the bounds of the POTUS, but he also found it fitting to overstep his dayjob. What is with the blatant show of treason in this country? The utter disdain for the rule of law and sheer tyranny that has prevailed to "oppose Trump" is mindboggling.

My anecdotal observation is that they can make rulings that can effect the nation, but this does not preclude the judgment being reviewed by a higher court which may or may not overturn the lower court ruling. I am not a legal scholar, but from my observation judgments tend to work their way through the lower courts before reaching the SCOTUS.

The lawsuit already failed in Boston; likely to fail in the following states as well.

I see, thanks. That makes things a bit clearer as well. Then, as I thought this whole thing just puts them in limbo, because what if the lower court rules this, but the SCOTUS rules its legal? It's well worth it to wait out the 90-120 days, then to literally bring down the country over this.

    Let them challenge it.

The Presidents ability to control immigration couldn't be more clear.

Awwww... apparently you don't understand how the US judicial system works and how it represents the 3rd branch of our government as "part of the balance of powers."

No, I didn't understand how a regional court could rule for an entire nation. Rohini was so kind to enlighten me that they could, but they also face the risk of being turned down at SCOTUS. And in which case, if they are, this ruling would just put everyone in limbo.

Why not wait out the 90-120 days, and then travel can resume at that point?

It will. Trump is in the legal right on this one. But the left will file every lawsuit they can in hopes that they will find soemoene to fight it.

The judge also cares more about his ideology than the life of you, your family or any other American. Better you die than Islamic radical terrorist be inconvenienced or delayed in ending the life of you, your family or any other American.

This is a Godsend to any intelligence personnel and spies Iran wants to rush into this country. Our GREATEST enemies are now amongst us in the media, the Courts and the Democratic Party.

What's there to laugh? Ignorance? I think anyone informed knows that Bush family and their allies supported Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. They supported Hillary not only verbally but financially. And you have McCain, pedophile Graham and other traitors in the Republican party who keep undermining this pro-American administration from within.

Attaboy, keep on making stuff up, it's good for your soul....LOL. I think you'll find the Bush family abstained from voting the top of the ticket. I'd be embarrassed as well.....

any judge from a municipal judge to a tax court judge can declare new law or regulation coming before him 'unconstitutional' if he sees it as inconsistent with his reading of either the state constitution or federal constitution and that decision at least impacts the case before him, and it does so just long enough for it to be appealed. If he is an appellate judge his decision has impact throughout his jurisdiction.

The restraining order was issued by a district court. The next step will be to appeal the ruling at the regional level.

Treason? What a pile of horse (*)(*)(*)(*). At this point the left has basically been reduced to the brawl at the end of Blazing Saddles.

I'm calling the Left treasonous for their collective actions against the POTUS. We didn't react this way to Obama, or hell to Richard freaking Nixon. But Trump? All hell's loose! What a sad display.

there are no rules anymore. we went through this with obama for 8 years. Bannon was paying attention. trump knows this is a domestic war... nationalist vs globalist. all this lashing out of the left is a good thing. They have lost the hearts and minds of the populace and have been reduced to a bunch of rebel fighters for the most part. Team Trump is on the offensive basically killing off all their funding and recruitment mechanisms. This is why the onslaught has been so fast....shock and awe. Bannon has been planning this for a long time. Everything is being gutted and the left is losing whats left of its power rapidly. as long as they are making noise Its a good sign. when they go silent is where it gets concerning as it means they have gone underground. Thats when they are dangerous. This has all happened before.

Some people will be crapping spiny cacti when those concentration camps open up for business on the Mexican border.

I can make allowances for the dimwits, but even the elitist class are traitors of their own country. It's getting weirder by the day.

LMAO...Indeed. So you are saying that every person that the Bushes or Clinton ever appointed to public service is a secret toady pushing some nefarious left-wing agenda, eh?
And that political opposition to you great orange hope is now treason and a valid excuse for hysterical, bigoted slander, huh?
The paranoia and hate mongering runs deep.

Sorry to ruin your day but I find your total lack of insight a bit depressing. But hey, don't take it to heart - you're in the majority.
