OK. It's interesting at least one judge on the panel wants a do over. They're having second thoughts about the wisdom of their decision.

 

His order was clearly within the law. obama has had 8 years to strategically infiltrate every court in our country with activist ideologues, who don't decide the legality of law, but decide based on feelings and emotions.

If Congress did their f***ing job, they could have that fanatical 9th circuit dismantled and replaced with Trump-friendly judges.

Yes, I'm sure you do. I was about to edit my post to acknowledge that. IMO the temporary EO was a part but the extreme vetting is the key. And I would note that the turmoil is coming from the political far left who are even camping out in front of Chuck Schumer's house in Brooklyn. Betsey DeVos visited a middle school in DC today and was verbally attacked. She was clearly concerned for her safety. A couple of demonstrators actually stood in front of her car to block her from leaving. All this for someone dedicated to give low income kids an equal chance for a quality education that would enable them to achieve economic security and a satisfying and productive life.

Well 2 states that sued to block President Trump's order, pointed towards his wanting to ban all Muslims from the US. I certainly hope the looney 9th circuit didn't base their decision on something he said during the campaign, never once was the word, "Muslim" in the Executive Order. If they based their decision on the fact that he said this, they are basically presuming to be "thought police."

I understand the pushback and expected it. I just didn't expect it to be as large as it is. People are really disgruntled all over the US, just for different reasons.

I don't know much about Betsy DeVos, other than watching her hearing. She didn't seem prepared to me. Time will tell how she does. If she didn't realize there was going to be resistance, I'd be surprised. Everything about her appointment was controversial.
