Why are you even posting all this stupid sh!t. I wasn't opening a debate about who owned slaves, or if slaves were better off here than they were in Africa, OR, about slavery in general.

I merely said that slave owners, by bringing slaves into the country, created a situation that would result in never-ending future problems. Those problems include the riots we are still dealing with.

What I was trying to say is that the folks who originally brought slaves into the country caused problems then, and laid the groundwork for problems that would NEVER be solved. Many of those problems are still with us today. And the original slave owners are responsible for all of these problems. Period.

That's why, if I could, I would prevent ANY slaves from ever having been brought into the country. You're trying to make this simple idea way more complicated than it should be.

I was NOT trying to open up any kind of debate about slavery. And I'm not interested in participating in such a debate.

I bet Maxine Waters would love to speak at their commencement. Just so long as no white people are allowed.

Please quit acting like an idiot. My post had nothing to do with the color of the slave owners. Learn to read before posting. Okay?

    P-l-e-a-s-e learn to read.
I was only talking about the U.S. And I do know that not all slave owners were white (there were some blacks who also owned slaves). These facts had NOTHING to do with the point I was trying to make. So quit trying to cause trouble.

••• I said: If no slaves had ever been brought into this country, we would not be having so many racially based problems today. The problems include: riots, BLM bullshyte, problems in the colleges, etc. That's it. Everything is in that one sentence. You're trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Read it slowly, t-r-y to understand what you've read, and, try to get a freaking grip.

some say millennials are more conservative than previous generations. shouldnt this mean, according to the left, that you would see this all over colleges happening to minorities since conservatives and republicans are all white and racist? if this generation isnt more conservative, is this the obvious result of liberalism? take your pick, because its one or the other.

it always amuses me when two people could literally be in the same boat and one would point at the other and call them privileged

I'm not the one running away.

I understand you don't want to talk about your generalization of whites as the evil people but its a reality you are going to have to face.

we've had these issues for some time now its not new the difference (I think) between then and now is that back then the guidance counselor would have recommended summer school and/or a career in retail. In Today's age we just say "you can be anything you want dear" Honestly I'm wondering how low this person scored on the ACT/SAT exams.

but yes, OMG, I was watching the video and I had to rewind a bit and hear that twice and was just as shocked the 2nd time around.

Yes, a COLLEGE STUDENT was reading that. and yes, if a 6th grader was reading that I'd be thinking "this kid needs a tutor and summer school, she can't read up to her level" fast forward 6 years and she's a college student, i'm flabbergasted.

If there is any silver lining to this, the college students that I've met (daughter just graduated with engineering degree, so ALL of her peers were engineering/chemistry/pharma students) have all been as intelligent, well read, and articulate, actually quite amazing as you would expect out of that group, and it gives me hope to think that students like the one in the video are the exception not the rule.

What we saw in the video was a future cashier. (you know, the cashier that will get flustered when they input $20.00 instead of $2.00 into the register and then can't figure out how much change you have coming)

At least 20 times in my life i'd had tell dumbazzes what they owe me since it took 1/2 a second in my head. And even then they still question my figures and scramble around for a way to get the register to confirm the numbers. Just give me my 68 cents and let me go on with my day please, I paid attention in school.

This is exactly why - F*CK COLLEGE - there's no way my kids are going somewhere like that. It's ironic that today's kids stand a better chance of success at life and learning if they avoid college.

Simply stated, black privilege. This is white oppression in the highest form and these college students are so dimwitted that they think they're the oppressed ones. They're not alone either, there are actually people on this forum who claim blacks are oppressed.

well if you stay on top of your kids as they grow, this college won't be on the radar as a choice, and a liberal arts degree won't be part of the discussion either.

Who ever thought that one day kids would graduate High School to go to college and get uneducated... These are the kids liberals love to brag about being their "educated" supporters.

Evergreen State College has always been a leftist cesspool that makes UC Berkeley look like BYU.
It is the alma matter of progressive martyr Rachel Corrie and that should tell everyone a lot right there.

Erm, for those commenting on her reading ability, have you considered she may be dyslexic?

I was in college in '98 and '99 and back then if someone was involved in politics in any way then they were looked at as nerds because they were teenagers that acted like all our parents.

Then you should go after the ones who captured and sold/traded the slaves... Africans. Your knowledge of history is poor.

We'll see... Many kids from the 50's turned into hippies in the 60's and voted for Jimmy Carter in the 70's, then grew up and never voted for another democrat again.

You're correct in saying that we wouldn't be having these problems, but slave owners didn't bring slaves here. Slaves were brought here by merchants.
