Don't believe me? Take a walk through any California prison and count the number of nazi tattoos- then you call bs on me. And those are just the ones we were able to convict. You know nothing.

    Or the KKK.
Making these human scum the victims in this is an insult to reason.
Trump has clearly welcomed bigots to his side. They were his supporters before, today he let them know they were welcomed.
How disgusting to equate Washington an Jefferson - who fought for our independence, with Lee who led a seditious war against our nation to preserve slavery. Lee is not condemned for having slaves - it was legal at a sad time in our past - he is condemned for fighting a war against the United States for the express purpose of preserving slavery.
It is not a hard distinction to grasp, and for Trump to have babbled such tripe indicates how beholding to bigots he feels.

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "blame." Which is amazing because you're a republican and it's all you do.

Through equally violent extremist measures. So yes, they are the same even if their 'moral statements' are apart. One must never approve of violence for a 'righteous goal'. This is not national self-defense. This is citizens taking justice into their own hands.

Bet low, win high. And at this point, I wouldn't be surprised. This Congress has continually failed to do the right thing. If they do impeach Trump, that will *not* be the healing point. Allow me to make some predictions, since most of America has forgotten to be an adult:

-An Impeachment of Donald Trump would signify "victory" to the Alt-Left. And furthermore, a feeling of invisibility. They can do what they want, when they want. As a result of Congress's justifying a "sanctified violence". We can expect the Alt-Left to then target, and isolate Trump supporters(or suspected supporters). And any condemnation wouldn't be forthcoming any time soon.

-On the opposite end, the so-called alt-right would see the Coup happen(and it is indeed a Coup attempt, and it might have finally found its justification.) If the Coup does happen, the alt-right will see no need for any lawful restraint given that the President's been taken out.

A politically weak impeachment, would lead to the next civil war and this one unlike North-South would not be recovered from. The worst Congress in American history has the fate of America on its shoulders.

That is correct. There was an excellent article in The Hill concerning that.

Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan of Wisconsin called white supremacy "repulsive." "We must be clear. White supremacy is repulsive. This bigotry is counter to all this country stands for. There can be no moral ambiguity," he tweeted.

Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake released a statement Tuesday evening. "We cannot accept excuses for white supremacy and acts of domestic terrorism. We must condemn them. Period," the statement reads.

Sen. Todd Young, an Indiana Republican, tweeted, "This is simple: we must condemn and marginalize white supremacist groups, not encourage and embolden them."

Sen. Orrin Hatch, the longest currently serving Republican senator, wrote, "We should never hesitate to call out hate. Whenever and wherever we see it."

GOP Rep. from Texas Will Hurd said that Trump should "apologize." "Racism, bigotry, anti-Semitism of any form is unacceptable and the leaders of the free world should be unambiguous about that," he said.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a Florida Republican, said of the comments: "Just no."

Florida senator and former Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio sent out a flurry of six back-to-back tweets that said, "The organizers of events which inspired & led to #charlottesvilleterroristattack are 100% to blame for a number of reasons."

Rubio went on to criticize Trump for assigning white supremacy groups only "50% of the blame." "We can not allow this old evil to be resurrected," he wrote to end the Twitter thread.

All Trump has left is his misguided, misinformed, and mistaken dwindling fan base. His party is leaving him over a number of issues, not just his bigotry.

Is Trump begging to be removed from power?

    Human scum?

This is the problem. We are measuring morality, not by deeds or by the love that resides in people's hearts, but according to ideology. In a nation of over 300 million, you got a couple hundred neo-Nazi types. That is a tiny, tiny fringe. Among the white supremacists, you had one who committed a murder. The rest were protesting the taking down of monuments of Robert E. Lee and others.

So we call them human scum?

I imagine white supremacists must be getting a message akin to this from the rest of the nation: "You are evil! You are scum. We hope you burn in hell! Why? Because you are not loving, tolerant, compassionate people. Like us!?" Wow, that's convincing.

White supremacists aren't good people. The problem is, most of the rest of the nation is not significantly better. Our only claim to be better is that we aren't white supremacists. But that is circular reasoning. "I'm not a white supremacist because I'm a good person. How do I know I'm good? Uh...I'm not a white supremacist."

Or we say, "I haven't murdered anyone!" Only one white supremacist at this gathering committed murder, and from what I've read of him, he was a very unstable individual who had some mental issues. So the only way we can accuse the rest of them of being "bad people" is by using guilt-by-association.

Each person is responsible for his or her own deeds. Period.

Jesus said to "Love your enemies." And he basically went on to say that if you love those who love you, then your love is worthless. After all, Adolf Hitler loved his friends and family, and like-minded people. He loved those who loved him. We might not have his bad deeds, but if our love for our fellow man doesn't go beyond his, then we have a problem and we are hypocrites, self-righteous, and blind to our own failings which we excuse as just being "issues" or something.

Jesus also said that anyone who hates his brother IS A MURDERER. Meaning perhaps you haven't committed the deed because of various things (like the fear of going to prison, fear of losing the love of friends and family, etc.--all these extrinsic motivations), but inside your heart is no different. You either love all people or your love is worthless and will only lead to tribalism.

This nation is full of hypocrisy and self-righteousness. I'm not defending white supremacists. I simply think the rest of the nation needs to look in the mirror if people would presume to look down on some white nationalists as if they are morally superior to them when their hearts are just as full of hate (they just hate people who it is currently politically acceptable to hate--white, male, Christian conservatives are fair game!), and about the only claim they have of being a loving and compassionate person is that they filled in a bubble for a democrat when they voted. "Did my good deeds for the next four years!"

Human Scum? Seems like almost everyone has read To Kill a Mockingbird but I see almost no one who has learned a darn thing from that book, a book with a liberal hero. He lived in a town surrounded by racists. He didn't walk around saying, "You are human scum! What's wrong with you? You horrible racist person! How dare you!" He taught his children to try and see other people's point of view, why they are the way they are, even if they have some serious moral failings. And most importantly, he taught them to love ALL people and try to see the good in them.

If we can't do that. We are not one jot better than those we condemn. Our only claim to being better is along ideological grounds. A label we slap on ourselves. "I'm on the right team. I voted for the right person. Therefore I can hate all I want, and my hate isn't actually hate. Only the hate of KKK people is actually hate, and I hate them for their hate."

Neither do I. That more and more voices in Congress are calling out for the worst move at the worst time, is very frightening. They still take their cues from Mainstream political ideology, with no comprehension of what's actually happening on the streets. In TLDR: Ignorant blind sheep, leading the blind.

Trump is actually a freaking adult, who would've thought.

Yup, Trump is doing what he can and I praise him for effective communication to the nation. He can only do so much about the Swamp. It is up us voters kick out people like McCain, Graham, Paul Ryan, etc off the Republican tickets but at all costs get rid of Democrats.

Trump is lost. When you start trying to paint f**king nazi as the good guys in a fight, you are lost.
And I'll make sure I to do my part to keep Rubio in office if he continues to stand up to a morally bankrupt Trump.

He didn't paint them as the good guys, he said they were EQUALLY responsible. So, what does this mean? It means the nation's acting like a bunch of 5 years olds. "Nuh uh, he started it!" Happy with yourselves? Trump isn't the most eloquent of speakers, but in his own way he wanted to say "Both chill out, both stop it."

If it were Obama, you'd be okay with it. Hell, even Hillary. But Trump DARES to hold us to the same standards, as THEM!??????????????? Unforgivable!

I was reminded of the '60s, when many southern police chiefs would blame having to release dogs on marchers as being caused by :"Northerners stirring up trouble".
    Same warped logic from Trump.

A letter from a father in regards to his son:

    http://www.twincities.com/2017/08/1...isavowing-son-who-marched-in-charlottesville/

This reminds me of the parents of young Muslims who get radicalized online. It's the same phenomenon.

Are you able to provide proof that a majority of Neo-Nazis do these bad things? I emphasize "majority" because there are always some bad applies in every group. Just because you can find a few that were involved it doesn't mean the entire group is like that.

If the Anita is involved in violence, then they should be reprehensible. In fact, I would even say the neo-Nazis are better than the former. At least the Nazis didn't initiate any violence.

Why do you hate the Nazis so badly anyway? Were you molested by one when you were young? Serious question.

Maybe this is proof that nazism is a very popular sentiment.

    Provide proof.
Nazis are good people. They just want their people to be able to continue. Antifa, on the other hand, uses violence on people who simply hold dissenting views. I really think your priorities are messed up.

So you are saying that violence is sometimes OK. Got it.

In other words, you have no argument. All you can do is spew insults.
