Liberals are taking down statues, threatening national monuments, I don't doubt that our national documents will be next (after all everyone who could afford to had slaves back when our country was born right?) Does seem the real plan is to tear this country's origins apart and remake it in their own image. They are painting all conservatives as racists. Soon, we won't be saying anything at all for fear of being called racist, fascist, nazi, etc. etc. The police are useless, at least in the big cities, as they are so afraid of being called racist. And I mean no disrespect, as a cop considered a racist may as well have a bounty on him/her. I think we need to not rally. They will provoke us into using the violence they do, and then we're "racists" and we will never win. That's the strategy. But most importantly, all conservatives need to vote in every election for conservative candidates. The ballot box is really the only place we can have a say now. Also, every conservative needs now to get behind the president. Doesn't matter whether you like him personally or not. Doesn't matter if you don't agree with everything he says all the time. And we need to vote Republicans who are battling against the president out in primaries. I believe this country is in real danger and if we ignore it, we will regret it.

Conservatives should unite against Donald Trump, who is not a conservative, although he sometimes does conservative things. I guess you want the dems to control the Senate, as that is what will happen more often than not, if we primary Republican incumbents. Conservatives should be battling against Trump. He is busy wasting time on everything but governing the country. He has little or no self discipline--he can't even stick to his prepared speeches. He's an unprepared amateur, just like our last President. We can't afford another amateur in office.

Its too late to make your dreams come true... Trump is the Republican president. We either support him or side with the liberals against him. Your choice.

Excellent points. I have supported the preservation of this nation since 1980. Prior, I voted only for Democrats.

Republican does not equal Conservative. I'm not voting party line. Show me something I support as policy and I'll vote for you.

Here's a thought: Don't put forth **** candidates, stand for liberty, and you won't lose.
All this social conservative bullshit that the pubs have been pushing for decades? It turns people off. They don't like it. So stop pushing it ffs.

Professional, career bureaucrats, aren't the solution ... they're the problem. Support term limits.

"Also, every conservative needs now to get behind the president." You are confused. You are equating Trump supporters with conservatives. The vast majority of conservatives do not support Trump. Also, don't confuse Trump supporters with Republicans. Trump has declared war on Republicans and Republican leadership.

Trump once declared the Rasmussen Poll the only responsible poll, the only one he trusts. Rasmussen is a conservative poll, and it is consistently graded Trump higher than the other polls. Trump hasn't mentioned the Rasmussen Poll in a long time.

Why? The results of the poll, of course. Here is how conservatives rate Trump now. The "tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 41% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-seven percent (57%) disapprove."

    http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/political_updates/prez_track_aug23

As for Republicans we need to look no farther than Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. "Mr. McConnell has expressed a sense of bewilderment about where Mr. Trump’s presidency may be headed, and has mused about whether Mr. Trump will be in a position to lead the Republican Party into next year’s elections and beyond, according to people who have spoken to him directly," New York Times.

Trump's base is alone. Ironically, Trump is doing nothing to change that.

we will unite. When you have had enough, grab your rifle, run outside and scream. If you are the only one outside with a gun screaming, go back inside...it isn't time yet.

It sounds like you are simply looking for a battle cry. Why do we want to honor a dark period in America by keeping these statues up? I guess I should not have been surprised when conservatives got so festered over Kaspernick not standing during the National Anthem. You would be an absolute fool to vote conservative, anything Trump has done is enough reason to vote Republicans out next year.

You outline the problem without realizing you are part of the problem. You wish to have pablum handed to you being told it is the solution. Truth in your face is now considered unacceptable.

The liberal media shapes your thinking based on their values, they feel that is their job now instead of actually reporting.

What you are really saying we cannot have a powerless figurehead in office that has actual individual thoughts that differ from the deep state.

One wonders why, all of a sudden, this is important in 2017. One wonders why the political whore Pelosi suddenly thinks this is important while never denouncing her own father for commemorating a couple of confederate statues. Well it is apparent for many of us this is SJW political theater performed for the useful idiots who suddenly think this is the most important issue facing America.

Hard for every conservative to unite when some like me are "true" christians and others support the KKK, a very evil anti christian group.

10% of Americans approve of Congress.

“Congress sank to a 10% approval rating in a new Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday, with roughly five in six Americans saying they disapprove of the country's legislative body. This compares to an 18% approval rating in March.
And if you're searching for the main reason behind the drop, look no further than Republican voters.

Back in January and March, more than one in three Republicans said they had positive views of Congress, which is controlled by the GOP in both chambers.

But now, that's plummeted to just 14% of Republican voters who give Congress a thumbs up.

The new numbers come after a high-profile effort to repeal and replace Obamacare barely squeaked through the House and failed in a dramatic late-night vote in the Senate.

Congress's overall 10% approval is the lowest for Congress in Quinnipiac's history of data back to 2003. Using Gallup data beyond that, it's the lowest for Congress in data back to 1974.” CNN, Even Republicans don't like Congress anymore, By Ryan Struyk, Thu August 3, 2017.
    http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/03/politics/republicans-congress-approval-drops/index.html

Our very crooked bipartisan political class in Congress is beginning to resemble the cast of an early George Romero film.

Tea party members, white blue collar workers and farmers without a college education, anarchists, disenchanted Americans who blamed the government for their troubles, and white supremacists captured the Republican Party. The result is Trump.

Whatever happened to moderate conservatives and Republicans is beyond me. All I know is, for now, we don't have a voice. The GOP has been taken over by extremists. Real Republicans want nothing to do with Trump.

Allow me to repeat. "Mr. McConnell has expressed a sense of bewilderment about where Mr. Trump’s presidency may be headed, and has mused about whether Mr. Trump will be in a position to lead the Republican Party into next year’s elections and beyond, according to people who have spoken to him directly," New York Times.

Come September, the Republicans will be in for a tough time, passing the budget, keeping the government open, raising the debt ceiling, tax reform, healthcare. All Trump does is get in the way. Now the moron is threatening to shut down the government if he doesn't get his way on the wall. That's all McConnell and Speaker Paul Ryan needs is a brainless President throwing around threats like that.

This Trump fan was speaking for all Trump fans when he said this. "Republican lawmakers are cowards and incompetent. Of course they are freaking out. We elected trump to counter those losers. The generals are doing just fine, except for those looking to land a comfortable politician gig in the near future. They are a bit panicked because trump is upsetting the status quo.

"Trump is doing exactly what we elected him to do. All of Washington should panic. The status quo is being destroyed."

I've kept his words for posterity. I suspected as much, but to hear from a Trump fan was illuminating.

    Enough said.

Moderate republicans were rejected because they are weak.

    They give in too much.

Trump is doing just fine, he's already signed 43 bills, not counting his EO's, into law with a lot more to come.

He is stacking the courts with conservative picks, probably at least one more SC pick.

He is sticking to all of his promises.

He is turning out to be a very good president as you can tell by the economy increasing.

Not sure what you guys have a problem with.

Funny you speak of useful idiots. One had to be pretty dense in the first place to think Mexico would pay for a wall.

The statues were eventually going to come down, when? That we never knew the answer to.
