I'll side with him when he's right. I'll criticize him when he's wrong, just like I've done every other President, Republican or Democrat. I voted against Trump every chance I got. (and no, I didn't vote for Hillary, who is just as bad).
If I'm not mistaken, you just said Trump is not a conservative and then that a "conservative poll" rates him high (??) And gosh, if the New York Times says it, it must be true right?
I beg your pardon. I don't fall into any of those categories; yet I am a registered Republican. You absolutely encompass exactly what I posted. And your disdain for regular Americans (such as farmers, blue collar workers, etc.) shows through very brightly. A true liberal. Congratulations.
Honestly, not sure who is the most insulting you or Sandy Shanks. You might try listening to some of those "dying baby boomers." They know more than you. I suspect you are a child, still in college.
Somehow after all these years, we've been perfectly fine, but suddenly in 2017 people can't function unless whatever they disagree with is destroyed? How long until churches or synagogues should be burned because PLENTY of people think those are signs of dark times. Don't deny it. I'm glad my synagogue is next to a police station.
Millions more votes concentrated in a couple of counties in 2 states, but mostly CA. NOT WIDESPREAD at all. Still angry huh?
Yes, after editing out the Ode to Obama, youve said nothing about him. So now we're down to TRUMP BAD. Got it.
You know what's pathetic? Your side couldn't even beat Trump lol. Hillary the Criminal Clinton was the best you got? That's how you know your party is screwed.
Sooner or later, we should all choose country over politicians. 4 years is a long time to complain about losing an election.
Trump had concentrated votes in Texas too, so what, votes are votes and sorry, Trump got less votes, get over it Trump won via affirmative action... simple as that
Trump won because most of us don't want CA and NY to make decisions for the entire country. I didn't understand that until the 2016 election, but now I do and I thank God every day for it.
I do choose country over politicians. That's why I didn't vote for the morally corrupt man in the Presidency. Character is all that matters in terms of the Presidency. Everything else can change. Trump doesn't have the proper moral character for the Presidency (Hillary didn't either, which is why I didn't vote for either). Trump is showing me to be correct almost every week.
He has not signed one significant piece of legislation. There are more than 4,000 positions for Trump to fill, more than 1,200 of which require Senate confirmation. Trump is far behind. So far he has nominated 277, 124 have been confirmed. He lags behind every modern President. Promises broken. He said he wouldn’t bomb Syria. He bombed Syria. He said he’d build a wall along the border with Mexico. It is unlikely the wall will be built due to Republicans. He said he’d clean up the Washington swamp. He brought into his administration more billionaires, CEOs and Wall Street moguls than in any administration in history. He said he’d repeal Obamacare and replace it. He didn't. He said he’d release his tax returns. He hasn't and he won't. He said he’d divest himself from his financial empire, to avoid any conflicts of interest. He didn't. He said Hillary Clinton was in the pockets of Goldman Sachs. Then he put half a dozen Goldman Sachs executives in positions of power. He said he’d surround himself with all the best and smartest people. You bought it. Then he put Betsy DeVos, an opponent of public education, in charge of education; Jeff Sessions, an opponent of the Voting Rights Act, in charge of voting rights; Ben Carson, an opponent of the Fair Housing Act, in charge of fair housing; Scott Pruitt, a climate change denier, in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency; and Russian quisling Rex Tillerson as secretary of state. He called CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times “fake news” and said they were his enemy. Now he gets his information from Fox News, Breitbart, Gateway Pundit and InfoWars. Economy? Obama had 75 straight months of job growth. Trump has had six months. GDP growth of 2.6 is about the average as compared to the Obama years. Presidents really have very little control over the economy. It is a world economy now and there are too many variables.
At the very least in his Monday presentation outlining his plans for Afghanistan, Trump sounded very Presidential. True, his speech was heavily choreographed, but most Presidential speeches are carefully scripted. That all changed on Tuesday. Time magazine reported, "President Donald Trump on Tuesday lambasted his critics in a 77-minute speech at a rally in Phoenix, as protesters gathered outside. He attacked Arizona's two Republican senators, though he didn't directly name either of them, and fired back at the widespread criticism of his remarks on the clashes in Charlottesville, Va. Trump also hinted that he plans to pardon former Sheriff Joe Arpaio and threatened to shut down the government over funding for a Mexican border wall." Trump traveled to Arizona to be with his adoring admirers and provide the madly cheering crowd with red meat. He refuses all attempts to broaden his support, appealing to the basest of instincts. Few others are impressed with his rants if for no other reason than he is scared to death of facing the White House press corps in a full blown White House press conference. There has not been a White House press conference since February. In front of his adoring admirers, he doesn't face any questions. Take for example his rant against the media. He used a very old, and very unreliable Trump tactic. He created a criticism for the "fake news" then mocked the criticism he created. In addressing the various comments he made about Charlottesville, he failed to tell them that on Saturday he blamed both sides. "We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides. On many sides." On Saturday, Trump failed to mention the KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists. It was for that he was condemned by members of his own party. Trump failed to mention that, too. He was not condemned for his timing as he insisted to his wildly cheering fans. Trump told the audience he had condemned the KKK, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists. He did, on Monday, three days after carnage in Charlottesville began. He failed to tell his audience that he took it all back the very next day and reverted back to his Saturday comments in which he blamed both sides. "The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement." He later added, "I think there is blame on both sides. You had a group on one side that was bad. You had a group on the other side that was also very violent. Nobody wants to say that. I’ll say it right now." Following his Tuesday comments, Trump lost wholesale support of Republican lawmakers along with the business associates in his administration and all five members of the chiefs of staffs. He didn't tell his audience that, either. Trump has incurred the wrath of the Republican Party, his party. On Tuesday he did little to earn their favor or broaden his support. Instead, he attacked the two Republican Senators representing Arizona. It would appear that Trump is completely satisfied with the support of his dwindling base and is not motivated to increase that support. I don't think he is serious about running in 2020. I don't think he will make it to 2020.
I'd need links to riots and protests and boycotts. Unless you mean we talked about how incompetent Barack was. If so, yes indeed... we noticed.
Judging someones moral character is a tricky business unless you know them personally or have a lot of faith in gossip rags. Ive never seen one past business associate nor ex employee nor ex spouse interviewed who said Trump was a man of low moral character. On the contrary, hes said to be very compassionate with a big heart. I think he deserves a chance... even if hes not black.
