We Don't Have a Gun Problem, We Have a Black Problem

Maybe that's because for centuries there have been people like you doing their very best to ensure that blacks don't have the same opportunities as everyone else, pack them in ghettos, underfund their schools, create mandatory minimum sentencing laws for crack (more prevalent in black communities) but not cocaine (more prevalent in white communities) even though they're both of the same origin, ignore (or rather embrace) systemic racism in our culture, lionize the Confederacy and generally attempt to blame all of society's ills on a group of people that only in the 1960's achieved equal protection/rights under the law?

How about you reread the "he who is without sin can throw the first stone" parable or the one about the Samaritan woman again and find a way to help a community of people that you believe needs it instead of demonize them?

Because ALL men aren't the problem. Maybe the numbers are too big. Here let's try this.

We have 10 people. 3 blacks and 7 whites. Those 10 people committed 20 violent crimes. That makes that group look pretty bad right?

But if we drill down into the numbers and we see that the three black people were responsible for 15 of the violent crimes while the other five were committed by two of the white people.

Is the whole group really to blame? Or just the black population?

 

They're arrest numbers.

 

If you have reason to believe one or several of those are highly impactful on one race as opposed to another then absolutely.

 

Not sure they can find recruits. TBH, the arguments put forth by the aforementioned groups are incredibly embarrassing.

 

No my intention is to point out the hypocrisy of people like Vegas giant as being racist towards whites but crying when there's racism against blacks.

That's funny because Native Americans and Hebrews have both endured FAR more oppression than blacks have and yet they don't commit that level of violent crime.

Furthermore these rates are not just true in the US. Blacks are overrepresented in regards to violent crime in literally EVERY country who keeps track of those statistics segmented by race.

That is the problem. The focus is on the group itself and not on the specific behavior.

 

The issue of this thread is important. We're part of the problem if we can't even summon the strength to look at it.

There are any number of ways to view this problem:

We can ignore it. (How's that working?)
We can implement progressive education ideas. (How's that working?)
We can provide a progressive welfare system. (How's that working?)

It's time for a change.

As far as I'm concerned, any publicity the issue gets is good publicity.

sure. And while you're looking I'd just like to point out that blacks are overrepresented in regards to EVERY violent crime we keep track of. Whereas not ONE other race is overrepresented in even ONE category of violent crime... much less every single one of them.

That's a problem. A serious problem. And no amount of crying by these people about how racist I am for pointing it out, is going to fix that problem.

Blacks represent 14% of the total population. Yet they commit:

51.3% of our total Murder
29.9% of our total Rape
55.9% of our total Robbery
33.1% of our total forcible assault
30.2% of our total Burglary
37.7% of our total violent Arson

That's my point. They are overrepresented in literally EVERY category of violent crime we keep track of. Not one other race is overrepresented in even ONE category. Much less every single one of them.

 

So What? What is Your Point? What is your solution?

Can you show us what’s the conviction rates are as well? Arrests doesn’t necessarily mean they are guilty.

 

Because we have racists too.

Tell me, are Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and South Carolina all provide a better opportunity and less racism for African Americans than New York, California, Delaware and Maryland?

Or maybe is it a racism problem and not really a political problem?

 

That's not the extent of AA. Affirmative Action also covers disabled people, veterans, and women, many of whom are definitely not minorities. I don't care for affirmative action, but for my own reasons.

 

So what do you suggest the solution is?

 

Yes they do in the upstate of south Carolina where I live now..

 

How many Native Americans are left? Are you looking to give reservations to blacks?

Who's had it worse off in THIS country, African Americans or Jewish Americans?
