It depends from what standpoint you look at it. From the standpoint of what a feminist ought to be, indeed he should - although as this whackadoodle has demonstrated, the feminist agenda is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. From a GOP member standpoint, they very much should want him to stay, if only to dilute any criticism that comes from him. He has in effect been politically neutered. From a Dem standpoint, it doesn't matter if he stays or goes as another Dem will be appointed to his seat should he resign although their lip service to feminism will be sorely diluted should he choose to stay.

 

Is he saying there was no contact in the photo? I didn't hear that. It looks like there is but it could also appear to be just close enough I suppose.

As far as never touching Tweeden, guess that comes down to where we rank the alleged "forced kissing" claim.

 

Partisan politics always enters the fray. If whomever accused of sexual harassment or inappropriate behavior or worst believes in one's political ideology and is of the political party you identify with, chances are excellent one will defend him. Will want him to stay on and will be more than willing to overlook whatever he did. But if that person is of the other party, disagrees completely with your political ideology, one will want that person to resign immediately. That what he did was so horrible, he's got to go.

This all has become a political game of gotcha.

Also, while I was strictly referring to the photo, I don't believe Ms. Katz was.... what have you to say to her quote (in your snappy 2 lines of misdirection)?? Let's just examine and think about that picture for a moment.

1) Does ANYONE fall asleep wearing a tightly strapped military helmet and bulky, hot military jacket if not in Combat?

2) Can shadows be cast when two objects are in contact?

3) Did the man next to her and the one taking the picture (let alone all the others on that plane) simply sit back and let him assault her?

4) What kind of sexual deviant poses for a picture of himself being a deviant?

1) They were in a combat zone. Shrapnel and bullets easily penetrate the aluminum hulls of transport aircraft like a C-130....which, BTW, aren't very well heated. Note Franken is wearing a jacket, presumably for warmth, but no armor.

2) His right hand appears to be in contact with her body armor.

3) A "boys will be boys" joke for the 1-2 seconds it took to snap the photo wouldn't allow time for many people to say or do anything.

4) Technically, it's "sexual assault", but I doubt anyone but political nutjobs would consider his actions as sexually deviant.

 

I'm saying Ann has perfected an act that allows her to sell books, speaking fees, and media appearances. She's an effective capitalist, and I can admire that.
