Looks like the voting is NOT going too well for the invisible friend in the sky!
Belief in the invisible sky fairy is falling, every single decade. This poll would look very different, say, 50 years ago.
As the light of science spreads more and more, the darkness that the invisible friend dwells in becomes smaller and smaller and smaller.

The Inquisition never happened, because the all-loving, all-caring, all-everything JESUS would of course be loving enough to have, over the many decades of brutal torture, come down and told them that torturing in his religion's name was of course wrong. I obviously would have done that, because I'm not a monster - and if Jesus is better than me than of course HE would have done that as well.

The exact same thing can be said of ALL religions.

Religions have always been ridiculed because they are inane superstitions that pretend to be the "truth" so it is not a "prediction" to state the obvious about what will happen again and again.

From www.thereligionofpeace.com: "The Quran contains at least 109 verses that speak of war with nonbelievers, usually on the basis of their status as non-Muslims. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter." It then goes on to list many of them, along with verses from the Hadith and Sira which reinforce the violent meaning of the Koran and not a peaceful one. Here is Mohammed justifying the slaughter of innocents: "Sahih Muslim (31:5917) - "Ali went a bit and then halted and did not look about and then said in a loud voice: 'Allah's Messenger, on what issue should I fight with the people?' Thereupon he (the Prophet) said: 'Fight with them until they bear testimony to the fact that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger'." The pretext for attacking the peaceful farming community of Khaybar was not obvious to the Muslims. Muhammad's son-in-law Ali asked the prophet of Islam to clarify the reason for their mission to kill, loot and enslave. Muhammad's reply was straightforward. The people should be fought because they are not Muslim."

Yes it would. And not a nutcase, a shrewd, clever politician bent on the destruction of America as the last bastion of freedom and Western Civilization.

Don't you realize the same could be said about the koran? We don't have a problem with you believing what you want but let me ask: What if you die and there's nothing afterward? Was it a wasted life believing in the bible?

I don't think Atheism breeds evil. I think lack of moral upbringing does. For me personally Atheism breeds fear because I don't want anyone to burn in Hell. I don't want anyone to die. It's hard in this world to see miracles now days. Having faith alone is hard. It's by no means an easy thing. Living without sin is hard. No one can say they have not done it. I feel the potential to do good is a part of all of us regardless of beliefs or lack of. If someone falls normally your natural reaction is to catch them and pull them back up. Everyone starts out good. Evil is taught and it is taught by evil men and women. Atheism doesn't breed evil. Bad people do. :(

Theists have a really bad habit of labeling things they don't like as either being "evil" or the "cause of evil".

According to theists knowledge is evil per the myth of Adam and Eve.

    Witchcraft and homosexuality is evil.

    Tourette's Syndrome is evil.

    Adultery is evil.

    Alcohol and drugs are evil.

    Seafood and pork are evil.

    Music is evil.

Short skirts and high heels are evil.

    Video games are evil.

    Movies are evil.

All of the above is based upon an attempt to CONTROL others which can also be "evil".

The reality is that some members of the human are sociopaths who will commit "evil" deeds without giving it a second thought.

If we could identify the sociopath DNA and eradicate it from our gene pool the amount of "evil" in this world would be considerably reduced.

Proposing something like that can also be considered to be "evil".

Theists can, and will, call anything and everything "evil" if it furthers their agenda.

In atheism "ethics" are situational and "morality" is relative. These are all in the eyes of the beholder. Our Creator planted in us a level of right and wrong....an awareness if you will. We can embrace His way or we can go our own way. Through trial and error, He has tried to lead us but allows us the option of desiring to listen to that still small voice or follow the pride in doing it our own way. It is a choice.

Everyone, except sociopaths, has a conscience.

Now the question for theists is why did their imaginary "creator" make sociopaths?

Your list is all inanimate objects that cannot have any power of their own. You error in the "way" of human religion. You seem to give power to inanimate objects however God has shown us "evil" is only generated through the human heart. That is where things have to change. God has given us an introspection that, if submitted to , is unifying. It has brought people together all over the world. You can claim it creates division but that division lies in the imperfect human heart. That imperfection is "individual" and within it are as many right ways to live as there are individuals. Godlessness is futile.

Christianity has been embraced all over the world. It only wanes when generations become complacent and embrace their own pride. It thrives when that pride begins to persecute those that Believe. The hand of God moves and liberates from the" moral relativity of the Godless". South Korea being one very good example.

Because they lay on the floor and laugh like little girls in their own selfish pride. It is their choice. I find your comments to be insulting and one sided when you run to the moderators seeking your own sense of justice.
Yes, every one has a conscience. God has planted in every human a desire to seek Him. Out of His perfect Love he also planted the ability to reject that love. You are a prime example of that. Call it sociopath or whatever....God still knocks at the door and anyone can turn to Him.

Snori....if that were to happen I think the Way of life I have done my best to embrace has led to more fulfillment and happiness than had I gone my own way which would have been "Eat Drink and be Merry for tomorrow we die!" That would have been fulfilling only for a moment and would have never quenched my thirst. That type of living is only a foreshadow of what hell must be like.

His religion seems to have been a synthesis between antiquity and science. He specifically rejected mysticism in one of his speeches.

His early pro-Christian sentiment in Mein Kampf and speeches were tailored for a Christian audience. He doesn't seem to have culled much from Christianity, with the exception of an Aryan Jesus and certain aspects of Jesuitism (organization, intolerance, obedience). It's worth pointing out that nearly every one of his associates who left behind a memoir/diary said he was against Christianity and the churches.

For anti-Christian dogmatists who try to represent Hitler as a Christian to stigmatize the religion (not here specifically, but I've seen this elsewhere), I have this to say: now is a really bad time to do this. The Alt-Right reactionaries have strong traditionalist leanings, and this obviously includes Christianity. You're only giving them adherents by this method.

A compromise would be to say Hitler was neither Christian nor atheist. It's really that simple. I don't believe he was pagan, but he did permit Himmler to re-inculcate paganism in Germany.

Read the Koran.....if it speaks to you, embrace it. I have read enough I do not believe it encompasses what love is about. The message found in the Bible is consistant throughout. It is God seeking relationship with His people, which includes all who come to Him.

Way too many asinine strawmen in your response. For example the bible condemns many of those inanimate objects as "evil" so your problem is with your own superstitions. Nowhere did I make any allegations about "creating division" either and I never posted anything at all about "imperfections" or "hearts".

That you cannot address the FACTS that I actually posted says volumes.

Yet another inane deflection that has nothing whatsoever to do with what I actually posted regarding your bogus "prediction".

Once again with the puerile kneejerk ad homs and projections.

Since this is a typical response that lacks all merit and meaningful substance there really is no point to wasting any further time on such vacuous drivel so I am forced to terminate all further communications. Your termination package contains an all expenses paid one way ticket to Cyberia.

    Have a nice life!
