    Trump was very Presidential (for a change) tonight. I was a little disappointed actually. I was hoping he would take a cheap shot at Pelosi so she might cheer up a bit. :roflol:

    President Trump used the word “I” 29 times in his speech, while using “we” 129 times.

    Obama used "I" 96 times in his State of the Union speech

    so tell me who is the narcissist again?

    We have been cheering about the improving economy for years. What entertains us though is when the right wingers who did nothing but obsessively bitch that the previous administration was using the wrong method to calculate unemployment, turn around and uses that very same method when it makes them look good. We are not mocking the 40% number, and fully understand where it came from. We are mocking the fact that it was never mentioned by right wingers again after January 2017.

    I agree, there was a definite change in that Trump's speech was mostly positive with no direct attacks on anyone except that subtle dig on those who who don't stand for the National Anthem.

    I suspect that Trump will closely monitor the reaction of the American people to his speech and he could possibly adjust his behavior towards being a traditional political leader. I'd like to see that happen for such things as the State of the Union address, but continue the street talk style at his occasional rallies.

    Great speech overall.

    I thought that Trump hit a grandslam home run except for the point about making 1,800,000 illegal aliens citizens. Once you go down that road it will never end.

    Most people think the number of potential DACAs is twice that high

    Just limit the number by law to those that were registered when DACA expired which is around 800,000

    Michigan Representative Brenda Lawrence (D) has apparently never even heard of MS-13.

    After Trump's State of the Union address on Tuesday, she went on C-SPAN2 to slam the president for being "so focused" on this "M-16" street gang, which she says "spoke nothing about crime in America."

    "To be so focused on this M-16, or, the, this illegal immigrant gang that he speaks of, spoke nothing about crime in America, about his commitment to America First," Rep Lawrence said. "What about fighting the crime in our streets. It’s not by immigrants.”
