    "The teenage gunman accused of slaughtering 17 people at a Florida high school on Wednesday had posted a photo of himself wearing one of President Donald Trump's signature red MAGA hats on Instagram, the social media site confirmed.

    The photo in question shows 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz wearing a hat that features Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan and an American-flag-colored bandana that covers the bottom half of his face."

    No one is saying the Bigot-in-Chief endorses violence. But it is not at all surprising that a white supremacist would find Don's messaging appealing.

    As the saying goes, not all Drumpf supporters are white supremacists but if you are one you are likely to support Drumpf over any other national political figure.

    There is always a knee jerk reaction to impugn the entire group when a fringe “member” does something insane. It happens to all groups all the time. This reaction is normal but it is foolish. This kid clearly has FAS and other mental issues and doesn’t represent Trump or the right, any more than if someone loosely associated with BLM does something crazy tomorrow...

    If we are going to have serious discussions about the cause of and solution to these complex issues, we need to rise above slinging poo in juvenile attempts to score cheap political points. Kids’ lives are literally at stake and we need to figure this out.
