I suppose that is a matter of perspective. Given the inability of the media to stop themselves from rewriting or respinning so many comments positions, etc, sometimes unfiltered is truly more effective, and honest. The point wasn't that the comments were on twitter so much as the importance of who said them is vastly different. At least from my perspective.

Hogg meets the definition of being "civil" terrorist.

His target is the Constitution and agenda putting the fear into Constitutionalist, gun owners, the NRA and politicians who follow the intent of the Constitution.

David Hogg is a civil terrorist who instead using bombs, planes and trucks uses boycotts, threats and the media.

Many of us who live in SoCal first exposure to David Hogg was last summer on the local news. The guy is a little snowflake punk who doesn't respect authority and runs to the media video cam which seems to be his safe space.

But I know that wearing the uniform and being sent into harms way and following your orders and regulations and doing what is required and expected of you doesn't make one a hero.

Oliver North as a 1st Lt could have abandoned his fellow Marines in his rifle platoon but didn't. Does that make him a hero ? No, North did what was expected of him.

Lt. McCain as a POW was offered a chance to abandoned his fellow prisoners of war but refused the offer knowing that under Article lll of the Code of Conduct he was forbidden to except being released from the Hanoi Hilton. Does that make McCain a hero for doing what he was required to do ?

McCain did violated Article V of the Code of Conduct but the majority of vets give McCain a pass on that one believing that the human body can only withstand so much pain and McCain was likely was being tortured.

Lt. Kerry abandoned his shipmates on the battlefield and John Kerry proclaims he's a war hero.

 

Wow all of that amounted to nothing more than a bunch of hot air.

40% of the males of military age during the Vietnam War served, were the other 60% draft dodgers ?

2.5 million actually served in-country (RVN) There were another 1.5 million who were in theater (Southeast Asia)
Around 2 million were drafted while 8 million were issued draft deferment mostly student deferments.

So I suppose roughly 1/2 of all baby boomer males of military age during the Vietnam War were draft dodgers.

Wait a second, roughly 1/2 of those who served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War were also draft dodgers because that was the number one reason given when asked why did you join the Marines ? To avoid the draft.

Revisonism, the draft didn't work that way.

It was a U.S. Army surgeon (commissioned officer) who examined Trumps bone spurs and once it was revealed by x-rays... no body with bone spurs can serve in the U.S. military even today. Even today flat feet can keep you from serving depending how flat your feet are. Do you like to masturbate a lot, the U.S. military don't want you.

The easiest way from avoiding military service during the Vietnam War was just to say you didn't like girls.

If Trump's bone spurs weren't discovered and he found himself being drafted those bone spurs would have defiantly been discovered during basic training and Trump would have been discharged with a 30% VA disability claim for life.

One bone spur = 15% disability.
Two bone spurs like Trump had = 30% disability.

As we demonstrated in the Nuremberg trials, wearing a uniform does not forgive sins. Wearing a uniform does not make one a patriot, it merely gives that appearance, not necessarily the substance.

North is no patriot, and his behavior in the Iran-Contra incident showed that.

Otherwise, I agree Hogg is an idiot play-actor to be reviled.
