    Ban those assault rifles so we can stop these....err shotgun attacks?


    Anyway, I hope there is no loss of life. Story mentioned one shot in the leg, hopefully she can make a full recovery.

    Ban shotguns too...then of course handguns=) But no one is asking for gun control.....right? Knives & blunt weapons freely available from Home Depot or Walmart STILL kill far more than those scary rifles ever have. Not guns overall, but rifles. I guess logic dictates that if you remove rifles from the population, than technically you'd eliminate the majority of deaths from those, except for the fact that most of those rifles used in murders aren't obtained legally anyway. Buying one then selling it on the corner isn't exactly enforceable. Nor is obtaining them through theft or gun runners.

    But if saving LIVES is the purpose here, then why not go after the most dangerous things? Or is it just a case of starting small and working your way up until you get what you want...an unarmed populace except of course for all the people who never gave a **** about our laws anyway and will murder people with guns no matter what. So what Liberals want is everyone unarmed EXCEPT for all the people still thieving and murdering. Hmmmmm. /ponder

    They manufactured the gun and it was bought at the NRA Gun Store and paid for wth an NRA Credit Card by a senior member of the NRA. DUHH!!!! NRA!!!1!!!ONE!!!ELEVENTY!!!!

    I love how this thread was politicized from the get go. No concern for the victims, because they don't really care.
    It isn't about gun deaths, it's about disarming those that they disagree with politically. Period.

    I for one will do the crazy thing and hope for no deaths and that those affected and wounded will recover soon....and that the SHOOTER, that is responsible for this, is dealt with accordingly.

    the NRA shares zero culpability in shootings. If you must spread around blame beyond the shooter, what about leftist media?..... does leftist media share any responsibility for inciting leftists...who clearly already have a tenuous grasp on sanity...into shooting up Republican lawmakers and golf resorts owned by President Trump?

    The NRA and their apologists live in an alt-reality world. And they make up a tiny minority of this country.
    Yet they've made high-tech weaponry of all sorts readily available to anyone.
    If today's case was a shotgun, that doesn't change recent history. Sad....

    Actually I would say that the Hollywood elites and the media are too blame. When's the last time you watched a good movie that didn't have violence. Even the cartoons for kids are littered with violence...Wreck it Ralph...

    The MSM follows exactly what the book "if it bleeds, it leads" says it does. Shock journalism is what they live for. How long did Columbine run as compared to the tragedy of 9-11? Many stations were taking down coverage of 9-11 because they feared it would lead to war. Doesn't matter that 9-11 was an act of war.

    Yeah and other than running barefoot to stop a lunatic, no NRA member has ever been involved in a mass shooting.

    If this story is true, your gun control would not have touched this shotgun. So after scary looking guns, would shotguns be next? Then handguns?
