This is an incomplete truth. the word marriage applies to many things. One is a religious function, yes. There is also a governmental function known as marriage and also a social one as well. Many times, most usually, these functions occur simultaneously. But marriage has occurred outside of religion, and it has occurred outside of government. Sometimes it even occurs outside of both.

No. You are stating opinion as FACT. And for that reason, you can’t be taken seriously.

I knew that was an old joke but it’s usually the suffering wife and that is why so many women are initiating divorces and not getting married. Just a little fact that married men are one of the happiest groups

Why do you ask? Are you claiming you are? If so, why don't you act like someone walking in the path of Christ? A person can buy a thousand crosses and it doesn't make them a Christian.

I think when two people dedicate themselves to one another they should have some protections. In particular when dealing with health concerns and end of life choices. Also the passing on of their wealth. Those things are attached to civil marriage laws. Thus I want to change who can participate in that.

As to your second question the state is in our Churches due to taxes. As long as a Church is tax exempt the state can dictate some things they can and cant do it is a part of the agreement. I would rather Churches pay taxes and have no strings connecting them to government. I believe they will eventually use it as a wedge to force agendas on the Churches.

On the contrary, the resolution has been extant for millennia. What's needed is a return to societal acknowledgement of that resolution.
    Yes.
Which is not the least bit problematic, seeing that as to the issue at hand, my opinion and the facts are in perfect agreement.

How do you intend to achieve that? At the present time most people are against gay marriages. Do you accept that as a societal acknowledgement?

Link please. AKAIK, most Americans believe in "live and let live". They aren't authoritarian assclowns seeking to dictate how others should live or what they should believe. It's a big reason why they didn't like Hillary. Now you are just claiming to be a RW version of the Liberal Elitists.

What does my nationality have to do with anything. Are you so arrogant that you think everyone is American. I have actually lived in four countries.

You are the one disputing my post, you link it. Start with all the Muslims.

What about the evidence which suggests that women are getting unhappier?

When I'm Emperor of America in a few years, just watch things start to happen.
At a bare minimum, that would consist of the repeal of Obergefell.

When discussing US law, it has everything to do with it. What you do in your nation is your business.

    So that WHO can participate?

What is currently being dictated by the state if anything?

How could that possibly happen in the US with Constitutional religious freedom?

That’s why they’re leaving marriages . Women probably are getting unhappier seeing the misogyny in power. The lower pay, the high number of sexual assaults etc....but that’s all changing

I have noticed something, you do not converse but only ask questions. This conversation is becoming one sided.

    Too your questions.
Any two people no matter their relationship type instead of just man and wife.

In order to keep their tax exempt status they cannot participate in the political process. There are times when it is in the interest of the Church to support a candidate or oppose one. They cannot do that.

It could happen when some weaker Churches would lose their church due to taxes if the rules were changed. For instance forcing a Church to provide marriage services to anyone that asks or else loosing their 501 c 3 status

Uh hello. This OP has nothing to do with US law. It is an "Opinion" poll. That might be why it is in the "Opinion Polls" section.
