I ask this question every time I meet someone new to town from California. It's like, hey, this place is super un diverse... So, when you ask them why they came here, they tell you they couldn't tolerate California any more.. And they, when you ask why they thought it was necessary to remake this new place into California, they look at you like you hit them with a hammer. I like to say, "welcome". Stay as long as you like, we won't be changing just cause you asked.....

Have you ever noticed that all the continents, America, Australia, Anarctica, Asia, and Africa begin and end with an a. Except Europe, which begins and ends with an e.

Depends on what you mean by diversity. Different skin tones are fine, different cultures .. not so much.

When has multiculturalism ever worked? Or occurred spontaneously without conflict erupting? The fact is, when you mix different cultures who possess different values and interests, conflict is inevitable. The only way to prevent this from happening is to keep them politically and geographically separated. The elites who push multiculturalism on the world KNOW it leads to instability and conflict - all students of history know this - so the only conclusion one can arrive at is that they are intentionally trying to disrupt or destroy these societies.

Too afraid to answer the question, sunshine?

Here, I'll answer it for you: You call them AMERICANS.

You know what we call the revolution against Britain?

    The AMERICAN revolution.

    How about that!

Would you prefer that I called them how I really see them? The half who voted for Trump are morons so I've got a 50/50 chance of using the right name when meeting one.

That's a pretty far fetched conclusion. Jump the gun much? Sheesh...

Sure, mixing cultures can lead to some conflict. Out of conflict emerges bigger and better things. Maybe not always, but often. I would hate to live in a world where everything was homogeneous and compartmentalized. Where I had to go to Mexico to get a decent taco, or Japan to get authentic sushi. Or to travel to the south to experience racism. The diversity of experience we enjoy in the US is due to our diversity. And it's a real strength.

So terror attacks, increased criminality and sexual assaults are worthy if you're belly is happy ?

Japanese culture is extremly rich, and however is one of the least multicultural in the world. Furthermore, you're not making come artists or scholars (or just salafis scholars which isn't interesting).

sorry, but you're not getting much in the way of authentic sushi. Even in Texas, mexican food is relegated to tex-mex cuisine. Food requires fresh ingredients, and you're not getting a real Mexican taco, and your california rolls are about as Japanese as top ramen is chinese.

you need to get out more.

I would prefer you to make statements that are accurate.

The united States are not really a "country", they're a political union. America is the country. It predates the united States by several centuries.

That's why people who live in the States are referred to as "Americans". Even good old King George III referred to them as Americans. Aren't you supposed to follow the example set by your monarchs, cousin?

    Why is it far fetched?

I'm speaking more to a diversity of values and interests, not a diversity of cuisine. When you have two or more groups with divergent values and interests living under the same political system or in close proximity to one another, conflict is inevitable. The only reason why the US has not descended into war yet is because the various cultural groups across America are able to maintain an acceptable level of political and geographic separation. Remove that separation and everything will change, and not for the better.

    Unbelievable.

Diversity is boiled done to food. This is the dumbest argument for diversity ever.

Ironically, the OP demonstrates a complete intolerance of anything but a superficial diversity.
Intellectual diversity is immeasurably more important than racial, or ethic or any other type of diversity, both negatively and positively.
What suffices for diversity among those who champion diversity is easily dismissed as irony.
