Trump never said they all cane from Mexico. That’s an interesting opinion piece though

Manhood thing? I didn't realize Nancy Pelosi had the power to train minds!
I do think protecting what you love is a manly thing. And I'm all for that.

A worthy man realizes that the first step in protecting his family is a secure door with a sound lock. After that he supplements with security cameras, alarms, and perhaps a gun and watch dog. A good man had his priorities straight.

Yes, it is interesting. It suggests we're looking the wrong direction is we're concerned about terrorism.
The ten a day thing comes from comments made about the need for border security and the wall. It's been repeated, exaggerated, and linked to misquoted information.

That’s why we need more funding. Terrorism isn’t however the only threat...drugs, sex trafficking, illegal immigrant are other issues. We don’t have carevans coming from Canada, but certainly I support more security there too. Why won’t the Dems fund it?

I can't speak for "the Dems". My guess is that the wall is just a political thing. We already have walls up along most of the border, so replacing the whole thing doesn't make sense. Also, since immigration is down significantly, it isn't quite the crisis Trump makes it out to be. But I think that the big issue is really not the border per se, but the scapegoating of immigrants as the cause of our problems. The stereotyping of them as criminals, gangsters, drug cartels, and such is just too over the top and so obviously political that people can't buy into that story line.

Why not add to and repair the current walls? Certainly no need to replace them if they are in good shape. Nobody is suggesting that.

Nobody is suggesting. Immigrants are the source of anyone’s problem. Even illegals, although they are an issue, that needs to be addressed.

They are likely naive and simply doing what their lefty handlers tell them.

We have them on record for months talking about abolishing ICE, refusing to fund the wall, etc.

And now a convenient reminder-video clips are very potent reminders.

We also have the recent exchange in the oval office-which dems didn't want made public.

Its another checkmate by Trump-and a preview of how he will handle the house and senate top dems.

Top dems, in their own words said we did need a wall.

    Until Trump was sworn in.

    Odd how that works.

I see you are unfamiliar with the difference between a definitive statement and an interrogative.

Course your unsubstantiated bullshit accusation of racism in others which prompted my original response is perfectly acceptable.

Yep that sure is a lot of class and integrity you are displaying. Guess I know a little more about you than your couple of mythical figures.

Actually, that's exactly what Trump and so many of his supporters are saying. He's called them animals, gangsters, drug smugglers, rapists, and felons.

Originally, Trump said he would build a wall along the entire border. No he's reduced that to just 700 miles. Much of what he wants is re-building old fences and wall sections. I don't think too many would object to that if that's as far as it went. The funding thing seems to have become a bit of a power struggle (understatement?) but it's not at all a one-sided issue.

There already is 800 miles of border walls and fencing having been built in the 9/11 aftermath. But nuance isn't part of the discussion.

Its all "hair on fire" binary partisan bullshit where evidence takes a distance second place to emotional fear mongering.

He has said some illegals are...which is true.

Originally he did when he was campaigning, obviously he has learned while in office what needs done.

I agree it’s a power struggle the left is playing politics with border security. It’s sad.

It's not one sided. The issue of border security gets votes. Border crossings are much lower than they were years ago. It's not a crisis.

I don't disagree that the Trump admin has a much better grasp on it then the prior admin, but just because something isn't a "crisis" doesn't mean it doesn't need to be addressed.

And just because trump calls it a national security emergency doesn't mean he should shut down the government.

As for a better grasp of the situation, yet another trend he has ridden to his wild self acclaim.

He isn’t shutting the govt down, if the Dems don’t include border security funding they are the ones shutting it down
