That'd be somewhere between hugely unlikely and hell no. Trump was supposed to issue a very simple warning for Turkey not to attack USA sponsored Kurdish forces in Syria. Erdogan argued, Trumped got confused, forgot all the talking points he was prepped with, got flummoxed and panicked. Trump failed to trust his people on the first thing that Erdogan argued about. He went off script grabbing for a life-raft and out of his Cheeto hole came Trump's version of capitulation.
He fell on his face by winning the presidential election? Interesting theory. That's what Trump's opponents said the last time he ran. Look how that turned out.
The mid-term elections had Wisconsin and Michigan going back to the democrats so unless something miraculous happens to the economy, Trump is out. They didn't know all that much about him in the Midwest but now they know that he's lies, is dishonest, stole from his charity foundation and by 2020 his tax returns will be public showing a non-billionaire who gives zero to charity and probably owes money to Russian oligarchs or their banks.
Trump is a freebooting con artist who could care less about how this country fares in the Middle East. I'd look for him getting a business advantage in return for his policy decisions.
Nobody yet, that deal has been in the works a long time and is far from complete, or even certain. The news is that the USA is dangling a State Dept export approval in Erdogan's face, as an incentive. The USA State Dept. has been trying to convince Turkey not to buy Russian S400 missiles. Because having Russian military advisors working for a NATO country's defense is thought to be a really bad idea. If Turkey does finally get the Patriot Missile, they will be buying the system for $3.5 Billion, not getting for free.
Do you really think that undervalueing the guy who won the most important ellection in the world, will get you anywhere?
I have eaten my lunch at Trump Tower today. There was great view of Istanbul Bosphros. Hahaha Whatever you Americans started to remember we were your ally. It is a nice development.
Watch your back! Washington might decide to make them an ally again - minus Erdogan. Anyway my grandson was at a wedding at the Bosporus recently. He loves the city. There's so much history.
No need. The Democrats have already indicated that they'll be investigating why trump suddenly decided to pull troops out after talking to Turkey's leader.
No no you Americans supported Kurds several times and backstabbed them. But Turkey remained your ally. You tried to be good with Saudis. And now the prince is the butcher now you are at the trouble
Trump is a vote against Globalization and against the PC tyranny, not the best, but much better than the alternative. The sooner people understand this, the better they will learn to handle it in the future.
