Oh, how I wish (WISH) that we could elect a president in 2020 like John F. Kennedy. Or maybe Ronald Reagan. Or, maybe a synthesis of John Kennedy and Ronald Reagan! WOW! Be still my heart!

No. Those days are gone, and so are candidates of that quality. How very glad I am that I'm not under 40. By the time those who are 40 today are my age, the United States will be in one dreadful HELL of a mess, at the rate we're going....

JFK would never get elected these days, his scandals would make Bill Clinton blush.

Mueller has turned into a Micawber investigation, the GOP want to shut it down before the 2020 election which is why the DNC want it to continue, even if it doesn't turn anything up it still follows Trump like a shadow.

You think Trump will allow the election if he is going to lose??

Our elections are trashed.. Obviously.. Trump is a prime symptom of our dysfunctional representative process

More than one has said to me they do not think we will ever have an election in the US again

The Pittsburgh pedophiles started when Kennedy was in office.. (and I guarantee you people in power knew about them long ago) Catholics are junk

We do not need radical religious terrorists like Mike Huckabee anywhere in our government

God would not be on my cabinet

Yes of course he would, he believes in democracy. The people who say the US will never have an election are living in bunkers with tinned food and shotguns (or Brooklyn), it's delusional. Let's not have any sectarianism here, I'm from NI and I know where it leads.

You Trumpsters really do get a lot of paractice at making up idiotic rationalizations!!!!!'

"What criminal conspiracy, sedition and treason. His discussing polling data with a business associate is not a crime."

Of course, that argument is clearly dependent on ignoring the heard of elephants in the room.

And while sharing one piece of information with a "business associate" may not be a crime in and of itself, when that
"business associate" is a Russian gangster (the kind that has people killed), who you owe $19 million to, and who has close ties to the man leading the cyber war against the United States, it's at the very least problematic.........

The intelligence agencies of several western nations thought it was, anyway.

And just about the only people on earth who don't see this as a real issue are the increasingly isolated Trump supporters.

I have no idea where NI is

I have a huge amount of cynicism in my core right now.. I am trying to learn ot contain my instinct to be abrasive..

    I am sandpaper.. not glue

Even my family can't stand me.. it is a real problem.. Maybe Trump would settle out of court so I can settle my divorce.. Mrs 5 stays with me.. but she wonders why more and more.. It is hurting my psyche.. I am able to tell

    Is NI Narcotics Industrial???

Trump didn't illegally obtain those emails, but once they were hacked, he had every right to obtain them, especially from private citizens of whatever nationality.

Every right? To coordinate with a foreign actor who illegally obtained his political opponents research? That's your argument?

The elephant in the room is that you can't show there was a crime.

    For Manafort.

What's it got to do with Trump and you do know the NYT has retracted their story?

Who told you that? The story is still up, it was on the front page of this morning's print edition, and there are no updates or retractions...

Manafort....who was the chairman of the campaign for a major candidate for President of the United States, and who's boss has also been in bed with a rat's nest of Russian gangsters for years.

The story is total garbage. You have drunk so much of the kool aid that you didn't understand the retraction?

The Times cited “a person knowledgeable about the situation” asserting that Manafort had asked his deputy, Rick Gates, to “tell Mr. Kilimnik to pass the data to Russian oligarch Oleg P. Deripaska.” This was supposedly the Big Russian Connection. However, the Times has retracted this claim. This Big Russian Connection has become the big Russian correction.

The story now runs with this postscript: “A previous version of this article misidentified the people to whom Paul Manafort wanted a Russian associate to send polling data. Mr. Manafort wanted the data sent to two Ukrainian oligarchs, Serhiy Lyovochkin and Rinat Akhmetov, not Oleg V. Deripaska, a Russian oligarch close to the Kremlin.
    Oops.

While we’re on the subject of Oleg Deripaska, however, let us recall Deripaska’s busiest bee in Washington — i.e., Christopher Steele. Who can forget: Christopher Steele Disseminating Russian Disinformation to the State Department. Yet again that which would incriminate Trump if proved amounts to nothing more than an innocent frolic when the connection runs to the Clinton campaign.

Oh yes, that makes Manafort look like Doris Day.... 2 pro-Russian Ukrainians...

SO much better for him... He'll walk now...

It's fake news as all these "We Finally Got Trump!" stories are.
TRUMP WISELY BALANCES NEED TO SANCTION RUSSIA AND DESIRE TO PLEASE ALLIES
    [IMG]
The Trump administration will lift sanctions against companies controlled by an ally of Vladimir Putin. The Putin ally is Oleg Deripaska, a metals oligarch who apparently has ties to Paul Manafort. Does Trump’s decision mean that he’s doing Putin’s bidding? No. The sanctions are being lifted at the request of our European allies, who are concerned that the action against Deripaska’s companies has created havoc in the global market for aluminum.

    This is worth repeating:

There is no crime called Collusion

Yet on the basis of no crime committed you want to impeach trump anyway?

Thats lib logic at its finest
