The Smollett hoax has deepened my distrust in the media.

Interesting, it's not everyone who can demonstrate themselves a sucker for left wing agitprop in one sentence.

When it's people that exclusively exist outside your echo chamber disagreeing, it's most likely that you're perpetuating a myth. It's how within religious circles they can deny evolution.

 

What a sad sack of affairs. This is happening everyday. And no, they will not report on the gay actor who faked an attack to get attention and also sent a fake homophobic letter to the production of Empire. He had stated they did not react strongly enough to the letter. He will be fired soon. What do these people use in place of brains?

 

they were reporting what was alleged to have happened by the alleged victim

they also report the things our snowflake in chief puts in his tweets too... they report... you decide

 

it's still only alleged... we do not know for sure yet, maybe they were paid by someone else as a set up to take him down, we just do not know yet

In all seriousness, Smollett’s continued career as an actor is likely now assured, as his stunt was aimed at all the people Hollywood hates.

 

They did more than report it. They editorialized, and lectured us. The media looked right in the camera and told us we are racist and homophobes because of this incident.

 

Dr. Reilly was on Fox tonight, an expert on hoaxes. He said hoaxes are created because the demand for hate crimes drastically exceeds the supply.

Fox is reporting Smollette (sp?) paid those two brothers to fake the attack and send a threatening letter signed "MAGA". They got this from the Chicago police.

And Fox is questioning why these hoaxes occur so frequently.

 

Ferguson and the myth of the gentle giant and "Hands up don't shoot!" when it was already obvious to THINKING PEOPLE by the second day in regards to what really happened from the THUG manhandling the Asian proprietor to trying to take a police officer's gun. The media -- aided and abetted by Obama and company -- invented an EVIL police officer who did not in fact exist . . . and they knew it at the time.

Almost all of the racism and violence and bigotry evinced nationwide since Trump's election have been by leftists. The entire nation has watched the collective Left go insane and also reveal who and what they really are. It's been fascinating to watch.

 

Actually as far as most of our leftists are concerned none of that ever happened even though at the time they were listening to it and watching and nodding their heads. When the truth about what actually happened that day in Ferguson surfaced they selectively edited reality so that all of the bigotry and hatred regarding police expressed and promoted by the Left and the media NEVER HAPPENED.

Your distrust of the lame stream media is well deserved. Just look at how many of them bought Smolette's story hook, line and sinker. They believed it before the facts were in, they believed it when the facts pointed in the other direction. Have you seen any apologize for that wrong position yet? Don't hold your breath.

 

It's important to look at viewpoints of others, that's how you can reflect on yourself and see if you are being reasonable. You never know someone may have a better view point than you. I've certainly found myself thinking differently after talking to somebody who thought about things differently than I did.

 

I wrote that post before I was aware of that.

 

As far as I can see, the whole MSM is condemning Smollett. So I don't know what this thread is about.

But the fact is that the MAGA hat is becoming the modern-day equivalent of the Svastika. I'm not saying that Trump supporters are out to get anybody or are comparable to Nazis. But it is true that they follow a very powerful racist leader. And they do follow him blindly. And that instills fear in many people.

 

I think his motivation is transparent - and it sickens me. He wanted to shine a spotlight on what he perceives is the hatred of the trump base. But instead of taking the time and doing the hard work of investigation, he chose he chose the easy route - to stage an incident which would show the base in the worst possible light, racist and homophobic. I'm glad he was caught out in doing it, and I'm hoping that his sympathizers and supporters will become equally vocal in their condemnation of this kind of dishonesty and illegality.
