If China calls in all of the debt, the Fed could and would print up a ton of money which would devalue the $ on the world market.

Inflation would become a problem for the duration for all Americans - but we've all been there and done that and could live through it with a few bruises and scratches. All of our trading partners would suffer greatly since most vibrant global economies are reliant on trade with the US.

Meanwhile, the Chinese would be holding a handful of dollars that have been devalued by 30%, 40% or more - their economy would tank and all of their dreams of global hegemony would also die.

China is in the back seat and the USA is driving - that's a fact!

BTW, the US has racked up more than 5 trillion in total trade deficits over the past ten years - what do you think would happen to the global economy if the US quit buying from the rest of world? All that President Trump wants to do is lower the annual trade deficit through creating a balanced tit for tat trade policy.

 

Two years of investigations with nothing to show for it - and they're still licking their chops in anticipation of some possible revelation. Did they ever think that a Democrat Congress that won't cooperate in any way with the administration will get the same in return. Do they even consider that the President might have a plan to give them a little bit back.
