Wrong again. Steele was not hired until after the Hillary campaign hired in.

Barr should just indict Steele just like Mueller indicted them Russians.

Maybe Trump could sue him in Britain for defamation and depose him there. They have strict defamation law standards there, not friendly to the alleged defamer. The alleged Trump pee party in the dossier should do it.

What fer? His harmless lies to the FBI?? Here's the phrase you need to learn, it wasn't "materially relevant" to anything the FBI was investigating at the time...

When did Grassley send his recommendation?? January 2018?? Better get jumping on that..

It was corroborating information and not the basis, but that aside, how is that on Steele? He didn't take the Page info to the FISA court....

I think everyone here knows the drill by now. If you're for Trump you get investigated for stuff that happened years ago, they spy on you, they arrest you with something like 20 armed agents with CNN filming the whole thing, they put you in jail for lies that have nothing to do with anything, they go after your family, and they want your tax records.

If you love Clinton or hate Trump you get immunity, take the fifth, refuse to show up for testimony, refuse to hand over records, or just snub your nose at the whole process and nothing happens to you.

Now which side is Steele on?

Steele is more than just the dossier. He is BFF with Mifsud.

I highly doubt that but it's also not indictable....

If he is BFF with Mifsud, he must be missing his friend...

    Steele is already being sued:

Steele's first defamation trial slated in London court this fall
    https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/feb/24/christopher-steele-libel-trial-to-begin-in-fall/

For the reasons you mentioned the UK has been the destination of choice for libel forum tourists around the world. Things are so bad over there we had to pass a law in the U.S. defending the First Amendment rights of American authors and publishers against those courts and their judgements:

On Libel And The Law, U.S. And U.K. Go Separate Ways
    https://www.npr.org/sections/parall...ibel-and-the-law-u-s-and-u-k-go-separate-ways

Since Steele isn't an American citizen he won't be protected by Rachel's Law, and since he's British I don't know that Fusion GPS, Buzzfeed, et al, will be protected, either.

You realize Steele is a criminal either way right. The perjury isn't just in that those fools signed that it was verified(and in the fraudulent information that was in it), Steele himself the author of the material used effectively committed the same crime by virtue of the 'evidence' being submitted. Charge the bastard with perjury and get him extradited here.

I wonder what recourse the DOJ has? Extradition? I wonder if we will hear the Dems and the left demand he be extradited and forced to testify.

The IG report is almost out and can only deal with internal matters and limited in scope. If he'll testify to an IG then he can testify to a US Attorney. Yes the IG will be less of the crap that is out there that high level officials and those outside of government engaged in because he is not a criminal investigation and is limited in scope. We need to see all that crap.

His lies were still material. Per McCabe: Without it, there's no warrant on an innocent US Civilian.

But the applications to expand that investigation with FISA warrants was because they didn't have a probable cause or even a reasonable suspicion. They had to use made-up unverified information and they knowingly did so know the State Department had brand Steele and is story as fallacious nonsense.

Who refused to testify to the Mueller investigation?

Don't you support forcing Steele to testify to the Durham investigation and any DOJ investigation if he refuses to do so so we can find out the truth?

This whole nonsense started because they wanted a Special Counsel in the first place(and as you noted, they all testified to Counsel Mueller). And as Trump rightly says, they're upset that the report says no collusion, no obstruction and so they want a do-over. That is a political form of double jeopardy.

Sorry, but not sorry we're not going down that road Democrats. The last thing they might get is taxes, and then they'll have to piss off in the wind somewhere.

Misfud has been found hiding out in an embassy in Rome. Steele also is connected to Andrew Downers former chief of staff. What tangled webs we weave.

Why would he not be in relative safety in the U.S? How much private citizens has trump jailed to warrant a fear of ones freedom or life from Steele?

Is this a humorous comment based in snag sort of reality?
