How would reparations for events 150 years ago even be Constitutional?

 

Ending the rule of the Tsar and the aristocracy in Russia was a good thing, but the Soviets did that. Lenin just took over that non-ideological revolutionary movement.

What is it with people who want to pretend the true history is no big deal, or not basically what it was, and will quibble over the stupidest most trivial aspects.

Clearly, once again, Trump supporters are just intolerant close minded uncaring bigots looking for excuses to slam people they don't like.

Meanwhile, they get all bent out of shape if people don't say Merry Christmas.

 

You do realize the United States, as a recognized nation, did not exist until 1783. That's when the revolutionary war ended.

This thread is obviously just an excuse for people to display their hatred and lack of empathy.

 

I've no doubt you've been consistent about the topic in the past. Most Democrats used to oppose them too. However this is the first time a majority of Democratic primary candidates have supported reparations, and I don't see how this doesn't end up in the platform as part of the permanent Democratic wish list. My previous experience with Democrats standing athwart history yelling "stop" to new freebies is that they pretty quickly crumble and join the gravy train.
