Are you STILL not aware that the Democrats did NOT vote in favor of one piece of civil rights legislation for 100 years after the Civil War?
Are you STILL not aware that it was Democrats who filibustered against making lynching a federal crime in 1922?
Are you STILL not aware that it was Democrats who started the Trail of Tears in 1838 when Indians were herded into internment camps, were tormented and their homes burned and then marched to a new area while many died on the journey?
Are you STILL not aware that it was Democrats who were responsible for the Japanese internment camps during WWII?

You have people in your party who were racists and segregationists like Robert Byrd, Strom Thurmond, George Wallace and a lot more. Just ask Biden....THIS is the history of the Democrat party, and it is shameful and embarrassing. Before you say anything about Republicans, you need to look at what you have done.

 

The Republican brand has taken a major blow circa Trump. Any reminder of Trump [MAGA cap] emits negativity. It could be like someone wearing an ISIS symbol in America/ Europe. Many would be repulsed.

Actually, they absolutely can .. legally. It's private property law - and all private businesses are subject to private property laws. Even a food cart, operating in a public place.

Any business operating from a private property. They can refuse entry or service to ANYONE, at ANY TIME, for ANY reason. They will only be subject to discrimination laws if they're stupid enough to announce the reason (and few are that stupid).

Once again, the law states very clearly that the owner of a private property/business can refuse entry or service to anyone, at any time, for any reason. That's where the legal buck stops.

And no, telling lies is not required. You are not obliged to provide a reason. It's up to the individual business owner how they handle that.

Painful reality for Republicans is that there has never been much respect for the GOP over recent decades but Trump only catapults it around the world.

 

This is true for both parties. If you live in a very left leaning area, you'll appear to be correct. The problem lefties have is that they think their bubble represents the country. This delusion creates a lot of problems when they wander off the plantation and find themselves in Trump county.

They do travel, but it seems like they're only to be found living in hostels with other lefties, or at tourist bars getting drunk with other lefty tourists, or putting time in at some stupid NGO feeding pet elephants peanuts and thinking they're saving an endangered species.

 

Yes. My (solo) backpacking days introduced me to this specie. Most often European or English. Young Americans at that time were MUCH less political. Interestingly, I often met solo Japanese girls doing the backpacking thing like myself. They were great travelers - easy going, adaptable, strong, and smart - and good to hang out with for a few days when our paths intersected. They were also very keen on the local wildlife - especially in SE Asia. They really liked those "still Asian but duskier and naughtier" boys!
