    But you might be correct in that Cummings may decide to ignore it

    Unlike the brittle and overly sensitive group of girls who got butthurt and can't stop shrieking over some other tweets from trump

    Maybe Cummings is one of the few progressives who is not a snow flake

    Nope ... Cummings is triggered, or at least trying very hard to give everyone the impression he is. Elijah knows that if anyone takes their eyes off the shiny object he's tossed out there, "racism" ... that they're gaze might fall on the district that he and his (D) municipal colleagues have let slip into decay. Cummings is one of scores of (D) reps who get promoted by grass-roots orgs. and vow to take their causes to DC, but then don't do anything. They promise that "next term" they will, but the blight is never eliminated. It's always the fault of some white devil, that they simply cannot defeat ... until "next term". ::(:

    Well, it certainly has gone downhill since the parvenu from Queens barged in!

    Once upon a time it was the glittering crown jewel of Palm Beach society. Marjorie Merriweather Post and her husband E.F, Hutton, presided over the cream of old money and brown shoe Wall Street.

    Now her property is subdivided and surrounded by golf course housing. Trump has allowed the real artwork he got when he bought the house deteriorate while he added the phony whorehouse baroque look that he thinks is class.

    And high society was replaced by Jeffrey Epstein’s party girls.

    I've watched CNN piece by an anchor or another who tried to cry all through his monologue, and the biggest offence CNN took in Trump's tweet was the word "infested". Very racist indeed! :roflol:

    He was clearly race baiting.

    There was no incident or public comment that set Trump off.

    He just saw an opportunity to hijack the news cycle on a summer weekend. This is two weeks after he attacked “the Squad”.

    The race talk was slowing down,and he wanted it heated back up again.

    That’s the only reason he did this.

    He is clearly running on open appeals to racism, and has done so ever since he first talked about running in 2012. Back then, he embraced the bogus and racist birther meme. That allowed him to race bait without specifically attacking people of color as a group.

    In 2016, he moved the ball over to Mexihate. He wanted African Americans to stay home in 2016, so he picked a different minority.

    It worked well, as the race baiting theme played to his angry white base just as easily as anti black race baiting does now (this thread is yet another great example). And Hispanics can be written off as illegal and then attacked with the same old anti immigrant themes that have served bigots for well over 100 years.

    The angry white raciest audience doesn’t care which race gets attacked, as long as it’s “the other”.

    He has wasted few opportunities to dog whistle to white resentment, and in so doing, has defined himself.

    The only people who don’t think Trump is a racist (or flagrantly using it as a political weapon) are the ones who are the most receptive to the message.

    That is all over this thread too.
