What do you do? This is our world. It is 2020 and you've just unseated Trump. You were running and you are over 35. No cheating.

This question is put to all the new candidates. I though it might be instructive here, maybe even amusing.

I am not telling until later. I don't want to unduly influence anything, though i doubt it would.

 

I would continue trumps immigration and trade policies

And direct the AG to appoint a special council to investigate the Deep State coup attempt against president trump

I would have the White House fumigated.

 

Trump would be my VP, immediately resign.

It it's 2020, Trump would even if defeated still be president until January 20th, 2021.

For myself, I want an adult leading the country and the first order of business is to prevent another Trump from happening in the future. We need to eliminate the Electoral College, move elections to the weekend, or create a national holiday to vote.

Since this is theoretical, I can do anything. I'd eliminate all re elections, one term only. Congress would be paid what an average middle class person makes. Considering the stupid crap they waste time on, even that's overpaid.

Form committee on implementing a national healthcare program and reducing healthcare costs to supplement private insurance
Form committee on complete overhaul of our tax system
Form committee on complete overhaul of our welfare system
Form committee on complete overhaul of our electoral system
Begin transfer all social security payments into private investment accounts, similar to Canada’s system
Issue notice to all states to eliminate sanctuary cities within one year or expect elimination of federal funds
Mandate national holiday to vote
Mandate congressional term limits
Mandate e-verify
Push for balanced budget amendment with increased taxes on high income earners and reduced government pay rates until under 98%
Legalize marijuana
Push for death penalty reform (single bullet to the back of the head) on murder and rape

All committees would would be compromised of members of both parties and experts in their respective field, no one that has been on a board or member of an organization would be allowed representation.

Well, the POTUS is not a king, so there isn’t much you can really do.

If I were to be the president, I’d make affirmative action toothless, to pretty much invalidate it.
The next thing would be to gut welfare - impose lifetime limits, force able bodied welfare recipients to work at least 4 days per week for various projects like cleaning parks and highways. Make drug testing mandatory (while I’m for legalization of all drugs, welfare recipients should be denied the right to use drugs, drink alcohol or use nicotine). On the saved money I’d make Medicare available for all (albeit with high deductible for everyone under 65, excluding people with terminal diseases like HIV and cancers).
Another thing I’d do make colleges much cheaper by imposing cost controls on colleges and universities (you don’t need to build new dorms every 10 years!). I’d have the government to pay for college on sliding scale: if a student receives an A, he pays 10%, B - 20%, C - 30%, non-passing grade would result in student paying 100% for the class.

 

That list would need more like TWO TERMS than two days. After you get past the "form a committee" stuff most of it is well outside the powers of a president.
