But......... his idea of a Basic Minimum Income.... if it were financed in the right way... .could be a good response to the possible Bear Market that CIA economist Mr. Jim Rickards has warned us about.

Responding to a BEAR market vs a Bull market?

The Andrew Yang campaign could set President Trump up to do what he may have wanted to do since 1991.......

This is from 2014... .is forty six minutes long but.... it is the best info I have heard so far on the possibility of a meltdown in the worldwide Derivatives market.......
and how China seems to be getting set up to attack the USA petrodollar.

    FORGET IRAN, IRAQ, UKRAINE
    THIS IS WHERE WWIII STARTS...

Don't know how "dangerous" Yang is to anyone or anything (he's not).

But do know that what happened to the Atlantic City gambling industry had little to do with Donald Trump.

So what -did- happen to Atlantic City gambling? Legalized gambling elsewhere all up and down the East Coast and in the SE. High tax regime and general high expense NJ could not compete with the newer, cheaper venues. It's that simple.

Also, a financial fact of which many seem ignorant, but it's an irrefutable, definitional fact: Junk bonds are less "risky" than equity (stocks). Always have been, always will be. The actual term of art is "subordinated debentures" and that just means bonds with less stable collateral or obligations backing than more traditional government or high rated corporate bonds. The LW MSM named them "junk bonds" hyperbolically as the LW MSM is wont to do when "exposing Wall Street GREED!" and the name stuck. But it's not a remotely accurate term given such bonds' relatively low risk nature compared to stocks and mutual funds based on stocks.

It is NEVER a good idea to feed the masses. Unless your goal is apathy and dependence, of course.

In which case, he's a dangerous man.

You and Robert Thomas Malthus might have gotten along quite well.......

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Robert_Malthus
But..... the main proponents of Malthusian or Neo-Malthusian Theory.........
have created themselves seven hundred and ten trillion dollars worth of DERIVATIVES as of 2014........
and a reason for OPTIMISM is needed to stave off a Bear Market.

More information here because the Canadian example is easier to understand than what has happened in the USA because teh numbers are so much smaller.

Did P. M. Pierre E. Trudeau save the world environment?

    Maybe, maybe not.

It's pretty simple, really. Remove the impetus to strive for survival, and we (or whichever organism you like, actually) stop 'surviving'. Our animal nature is still in there. It's a grand vanity to imagine it isn't.

Andrew Yang is a way out character. One could say a whack job but let's not and say we did.

Agreed. Those who want something like a guaranteed income and free education should first live in a commune and take notes on what doesn't work.

    Remember the hippie communes?

If they live in a commune, they won't have time to take notes.

    A very quick one.

I've often thought that those who think they're socialists (or even communists) should actually try being one for a week.

They'd run screaming to the comforting arms of Mother Capitalism faster than you can say 'liar liar, pants on fire'.

Yang is going to address China's theft of America's intellectual property by ending the trade war.

Lol...The trouble with reactionaries is that they are always looking backward as they stumble into the future and then they whine that everything keeps tripping them up.
What are you people going to do when automation and AI soaks up most of the paying jobs that you do?
Since most right-wingers hate education, they will be very poorly prepared to deal with the changes that are coming.
The future is for people who want to pursue knowledge and science and help tackle all of the challenges and questions that we have about how the world works. There is so much still to learn. Once the drone jobs are eliminated, what are reactionaries going to do?
I suggest that they get some education and learn a useful skill or trade before it's too late.

Yes, just like the fairytale in the book written by Bronze Age goat herders, Yang miraculously conjuring cans of tuna, and loaves of Wonder Bread, out of thin air is just another fantasy.
