    1. ...Earlier this year former President Carter sent President Trump a letter with some advice about managing the U.S.-China relationship. Carter oversaw the normalization of diplomatic relations between the countries 40 years ago.

And on Saturday evening, Trump called Carter to talk about it. It was the first time they’d spoken, Carter said. He said Trump said he is particularly concerned about how China is “getting ahead of us.”....

He called the United States “the most warlike nation in the history of the world,” because of a tendency to try to force others to “adopt our American principles.”.....

    2. If other people called the US “the most warlike nation in the history of the world”, American nationalists would cry foul and regard it as disinformation or "fake news". However, this unflattering description of America did not come from the mouth of an imaginary enemy but the nation’s longest-living president.

There is a Chinese saying, "If you go to a mountain too often, you will encounter a tiger." The US has experienced its share of military successes over the years, but its armed forces have also suffered some terrible setbacks.

Trump's plans to meet at Camp David with the Taliban showed his desperation to extricate the US from its longest war as Afghanistan could turn into another Vietnam for America. Despite some terrible setbacks, it won't be an exaggeration to say that the US will continue to fish in troubled waters and maintain its excellent track record as “the most warlike nation in the history of the world”.

America can never learn its lesson.

This is a very confused op

Is the topic America-bashing for being too warlike by jimmy carter?

Or trump-bashing for trying to end the war in afghanistan?

You cant have it both ways

I think it's difficult to argue with:

    Sparta
    Roman Empire
    Mongols under Khan

Perpetual war is a necessary feature of the global monetary establishment.

Jimmy Cah-tuh is a bitter failed ex-president who still resents that America overwhelmingly threw is incompetent ass out of office 40 years ago.

Why do you think he's a Chinese troll?

His posting history. And in the past he has either acknowledged (or at least not denied) that he is based in China.

I haven't really noticed his posting history. But I don't think you can characterize a person as a Chinese troll just because they live in China. Not everyone there is taking orders from Beijing. I guess a clue might be if he's ever criticized Chinese authorities or only focused on the US.

Carter is a better ex-president. His presidency is regarded as one of the worst.
Of course America is war like. We were born on the battlefield. We had to war with England to get our own birth certificate FFS.

Or Spain, Russia and of course the Brits. They never met a country that they didn't invade. They are #1.

My great friend, it's good to admit the truth anyway .

To be born on the battlefield, there is still some hope.

However, to be destined to die on the battlefield, that's the end of all hopes. :salute:

My great friend, just ponder over it:

England gives Americans birth certificates FFS, but Mars issues them with death certificates. :skull:

I took it a little differently, warlike does not necessarily mean involved in the greatest number of wars. Sparta, clearly, does not make such a list.

I feel it was still the most 'warlike' state in history. The entire society was geared towards war.

I have no problem with the US being the most war like country in the world. It has brought us great prosperity, and has secured a peaceful way of life for our civilians.

To secure peace is to prepare for war.
