    The man who made these latest(rehashed) accusations refused to testify. How much more thoroughly should they have investigated the claims of a "witness" who refused to testify?

    I'll remind you that this was NEVER a criminal investigation, it was a vetting process. The investigators were limited to what they could do to compel witness testimony, because, again it was NOT a criminal investigation.

    It wasn't a criminal investigation because there was some sort of a whitewash, but rather because the accusers never made any attempt to actually file any formal criminal charges against anybody.

    All that means is sexual predator Kavanaugh took advantage of a woman who was too drunk or drugged to consent if she was unable to remember. It doesn't change the fact the a witness SAW it happen and he remembers.

    Wrong. There is no witness to the supposed event.

    "The Times went on to note in the article that it had "corroborated the story with two officials who have communicated with Mr. Stier," but the article apparently meant only that the Times had corroborated that Stier made his claim to the FBI. No first-hand corroboration of the alleged episode was apparently obtained."

    Ms. Swetnick had originally claimed to have been the victim of gang rapes involving Justice Kavanaugh during high school parties, saying she saw him and a friend spike punch to leave girls unable to resist. She later changed her story to say she saw Justice Kavanaugh and his friend near a punch bowl, and could not identify them as having actually been part of any rape.

    Regardless of the claims made against him, Kavanaugh lied his ass off in the confirmation hearings. There's not teenage boy in the world who writes about "flatulence" in his yearbook.

    The NYT had already reported that Ramirez had refuted the story and the NYT independently debunked the story in 2018. They have knowingly just republished libel. Textbook willful malicious libel.

    "The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself."

    Yep it was rushed because instead of turning the letter of to be investigated Feinstein sat on it and it mysterious leaked right before the confirmation vote. Take that up with Feinstein
