Not just "conservatives", we're talking about motivated reasoning and magical thinking in general. Why do people believe in the flat earth or trump, apocalyptic cults even after the world doesn't end? I don't think America will be destroyed in 2020 even if trump is elected again, but you are right that everyday he is in office, the country becomes weaker and weaker. So the question is how to get people to think critically and evaluate evidence rather than dedicate their lives to partisan ideology at all costs to country and the world? It is a very difficult question and one that has been studied quite a bit without any simple answers.

 

The President of Ukraine is going to make a public statement about the phone call(in about an hour). The dems do not have a patch big enough to cover the hole that , that will blow in their boat. Too bad so sad.

 

There are so many corrupt, lawless aspects to this one event it's difficult to quantify. The acting DNI broke the law, the IC IG (at the direction of the DOJ) broke the law, Individual 1 broke the law, Giuliani never should have been used as a representative of our government, the WH has no right or authority to control the whistleblower complaint or his testimony to Congress, the State Dept. (no doubt at Trump's direction) should never have approached Giuliani to speak with Ukrainian officials, and those are just the ones I can think of right now.
From the beginning it puts on full display the level of corruption every aspect of this admin is perpetrating in violation of the law.

The whistleblower did not have first hand knowledge of the phone call, right now we have more knowledge about the phone call than the whistleblower did at the time of his/her complaint,

 

Presidents in the past HAVE used "friends" or "experts" outside of government to convey messages, obtain intelligence, etc. from foreign leaders, but never using them for personal political purposes as overtly as this appears. If the President had a reasonable suspicion of illegal acts committed by Biden and/or his son, he could have called his AG and asked him to look into it. In fact, he told the Ukrainian President that's what he would do. Barr just said that the transcript released this morning is the first he's heard of the issue.

 

Hillary, the FBI, and several other people did.

What "falsified documents?" Carter Page's trips to Moscow? The FISA warrant went nowhere...Page was never indicted. The Steele dossier merely confirmed other information our intelligence agencies had on Page.
Comey's "classified FBI documents" were only "Memo's for Record," which Comey had written himself on his meetings with Trump. Maybe they could be classified as "For Official Use Only," but nothing more, unless you believe ALL private conversations with the President are "classified."

 

Excuses made like a true dem. The IG said comey broke the law doing what he did, it's becoming obvious that as long as it helps dems you guys will never admit to anything.
