    Multiple points here.

    1) The "transcript" is objectively detailed as incomplete.
    2) Even the "transcript," as written is damning because the Ukrainian President makes explicit reference to his countries' need for military aid and the response from Trump is the "need a favor."
    3) The hundreds of millions in military aid were simultaneously and unilaterally being held hostage by trump before this call and released the day after the whistleblower complaint was filed.
    4) The whistleblower complaint, we know from the IG, references "multiple events."

Except for Gabby Gifford all of the other Democrats running for President probably have hidden secrets that they don't want revealed.

Have to give Cory Booker credit for coming out admitting he once sexually assaulted a young lady.

Republicans grab them by the poosie and Democrats grab their tits.

“I would like you to do us a favor,” Mr. Trump said in response to President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine raising the prospect of acquiring military equipment from the United States. Noting that the United States had “done a lot for Ukraine,” Mr. Trump also asked for another inquiry: that the Ukrainians examine an unsubstantiated theory about stolen Democratic emails.

Nah....just the ones concerning Ukraine....That will do...let's say 2015/16 season. Not that many. By the way, opening the Pandora's box was never a good idea.

I did read the transcript, did you?

The Ukrainian President makes explicit reference to his countries need for military aid. The immediate response is Trump saying "I need a favor."

That's just more routine Fake News.
The DP needs to buy a brand new bag of dirty tricks - Fake News passed its expiration date in 2016.

Actually, he said he had no evidence at the time he gave that interview and I've read that the Ukrainians are thinking about reopening the investigation into Burisma so I'm not leaping to any conclusions at this point.

It's possible the Bidens haven't done anything wrong but I do find the Dims' overreaction to reopening this matter hypocritical given their own fondness for investigations, and peculiar since they should welcome the opportunity for the Bidens to clear their names. As the old saying goes, where there's smoke there's fire, which is enough to make anyone wonder why the Dims are coming completely unglued over this.

Oh I see. So you agree that the GOP over-reached by demanding every transcript from an eight year timeframe with two different countries. And instead you think it can be narrowed down to every trancript from a two year time frame with one country?

I know, and idiots Trump and Guiliani knocked him out when he was leading. If they had 2 brain cells between them they would have had some liaison do a discreet investigation and sprung it after Biden won the nomination. What a couple of imbeciles.

We have done a lot, in particular after Obama left office, and we had a less flexible policy with Putin, and we started arming them.

But I take it from your post, you couldn't find a line in the transcript....gotcha

The Democratic 'reaction" began with the unlawful blocking, by the DNI blockage, of the IG's forwarding the "whistleblower's" report to Congress within seven days.

So what? That is why leaders talk to each other - to exchange information and favors.
    It's called diplomacy.

Ok, here's the problem with your analysis.

Trump and Giuliani have been touting the Biden-Ukraine bullshit for a while now. That never raised any red flags (other than people saying that the story has been analyzed and found lacking), let alone calls for impeachment.

So what is the reason that this particular instance of Trump raising the Biden-Ukraine story resulting in an explicit impeachment proceeding? Because Trump made a request for a favor to look into his chief political opponent in a private conversation with the leader of a foreign government while simultaneously and unilaterally holding hundreds of millions of dollars in military aid hostage. On top of that, when a whistleblower raised a concern about this conversation (and other events, reportedly), the Trump administration blocked the disclosure of that complaint. A disclosure required by law.

IOW, you cannot paste up anything at all remarkable from the transcript of the conversation. What a surprise! ;-)

I was hoping the transcript would be innocuous. It isn’t.

The transcript shows Trump directly asking Zelensky to investigate Biden, and to talk to Trump’s personal lawyer, Giuliani, about it.

He did exactly what he admitted to three days ago, before reversing himself and claiming he didn’t do it.

That is clear abuse of power, and impeachable.

Expect darn near the entire Democratic caucus to sign on for impeachment after this.

More interesting will be seeing how many Republicans, if any, recognize this as a problem.

they wanted a lot of help back in 2014-16 when Russia was running loose and creating chaos....unfortuately nobody here was giving it to him....more importantly...withholding a billion.

Trump's been pouring in support, arming them...etc....not unreasonable to ask them for a favor since we've given them so much support as of late.
