Without legislation (save our homes) it would be about 3K, I think in CA they have prop 5(?) which is similar. of course zero state taxes, its shocking what states like Illinois charge, and they are still running deficits, and roads are in terrible shape unless you want to pay tolls.

It isn't a coincidence that the markets go bull when Trump type conservatives win elections and slow bracing for left wing policies. The left has been crying that Trumps policies are going to destroy the economy... and when they don't, its inspite of him. I feel that Obama dragged on the recession far longer than it should be relying on government shovel ready jobs that cost fortunes and took forever to get going. We all have opinions. When Obama moved to the White House after the two years of the Democrat controlled Congress of which he was a voting member and the job loss rate bottomed out that month he made that move and long before any "stimulus" and started to quickly recede. He passed his stimulus on the basis it would hold unemployment to 8% but it totally failed and unemployment soared to 10% and stayed over 8% for the next four years. The Democrats took back the Congress in 2007 with a Republican deficit of a paltry $161B and then increased spending 10% for 2008 and then 20% for 2009 taking exploding the budget and deficit to $1,400B in just two years keeping it over $1,000B for the next 4 years. Hugely expanding domestic spending and particularly support payments which we are still paying for. Yes we need to cut spending, but then Trump never ran as a true fiscal conservative did he. And can you point me to the Democrat currently running who gives a twit about deficits and debt and promises to get spending and our budget under control? We need more true Republican fiscal conservatives back in Congress and in the White House but I bet you would never vote for them.
