Answered your own question. The funding cuts from the military to fund social programs are vile to me. That’s what the left prefers.

I was in from 87-91, USMC, my MOS was 0231, that is in military Intelligence. I’m very well aware of what occurred in Iraq and what the situation was at that time. The Monday morning quarterbacking is utter crap, but it occurs after every military engagement.
The left is simply no friend of the military. Hell they can’t even honor the people serving by having a flag on stage during the debates. How would like to be stationed overseas watching that debate and not even seeing a flag onstage? It’s insulting.

The comparison I intended to make was the danger in removal of dissenting voices, the purge of those who told the truth, and the chilling effect retribution of this sort has on potential future whistleblowers. My apologies if that message was less than clear.

It certainly can be a danger.

But it’s human nature and I think any sitting POTUS would have done the same given the same circumstance. Trump is just less refined about it than Obama would have been for example IMO.

Pardon me for pointing out your dodge of the decision to send our troops in to Iraq unnecessarily and without the proper equipment. If the military leadership is so wasteful and incompetent they can't equip our soldiers while spending more than the next 7 largest military spending countries in the world then I suggest social safety net spending is not to blame.

I find that assertion to be a fatuous excuse for indefensible behavior. And, BTW, against Pentagon policy.

Esper says 'Pentagon protects its service members from retribution' amid reports of possible Vindman ouster

Would any Trumper like to take a swing at explaining why Vindman's brother was also removed from his job?

Bush was a new world order, big government, authiritarian, anti-personal liberty, corporatist, neocon.
    So yes, it did.

    Dodged nothing.

Your aware that Iraq not only had chemical weapons but used them. Your also aware they broke agreement after agreement they made after they surrendered after their pillage of Kuwait. Your aware they could have complied with the terms they agreed to after their act of war was ended and no invasion would have began needed. Your aware saddam was the very thing you seem to think Trump is. All this is not news to you is it...you just choose to ignore these facts.

How are you implying how they were under equipped? A couple of examples would be helpful. I’m going to go out on a limb and guess your understanding of military equipment is “limited”....

And look you did the little lefty thing crying about how much we spend on the military, y’all just can’t help yourself can you? So predictable.

Sorry that I struck a nerve by pointing out the obscene amount of money we spend on defense.

Your collection of historical, anecdotal observations about Iraq's behavior before the invasion in no way justifies the Bush admin's use of manufactured, manipulated intel to promote a false narrative providing a rationale for war. They lied to us, they sent in troops without adequate equipment, they misunderstood the reaction of Iraqi's, they botched the occupation, they set in motion the ME chaos that ensued, and their actions did nothing to avenge the 9/11 attack.

You clearly have very little to no understanding of military issues outside of your talking points. But that is not surprising now knowing your political slant. Again, so predictable.

    Enjoy Election Day!

So he was let go without proof? Care to explain why anyone would think he got a copy of the book manuscript?

We both know why he was let go.............you're just too embarrassed to admit it.

Nice attempt at unity there. Show the other side just how much we have in common. Hyperbole is a very Trump like trait.

Ridding the country of 2 Leakers, threats to National Security, is a Stalin like purge? What did you think when:
Obama's Military Coup Purges 197 Officers In Five Years

    Punishment for committing thought crimes.

Putin already knows how much he has in common with Trump.........it's why he deceitfully supported Trump's campaign.

Is there a better way to respond to a Stalinist Star Chamber inquiry?

Putin, Trump and common do not fit in the same sentence. Putin is shrewd, Trump is crude. Nor does Putin have any reason to be deceitful. Russians have meddled in our affairs since at least the cold war. As we have in theirs.
