    What happens to Smollett is no longer as important as what happened to have his charges dropped. He has damaged himself sufficiently for what he did.

    But, people need to know which strings were pulled to get charges dropped, and who pulled them, and bring them forward.

    Smollett did file a false police report, and I am glad he is facing charges. I wonder if the FBI investigation into the letter is still be investigated?

    He was never acquitted.
    His charges were dropped.
    Different things.
    Since there was never a judgement on Smollett, reopening investigation is not subject to double-jeopardy rules.
    I’m seeing Foxx’ online ads and regret I don’t live in Cook county to vote against her. I can’t believe she has the guts to run for re-election after she dropped Smolletts case.

    He should serve both sentences the white guys would have received if the story was real, along with federal mail crimes, and reimbursement to the city/county for all expenses.

    I hope he loses every penny he has and spends 20 years in prison. Fake hate crime, fake racist hate crime to further your career and divide the country should not be tolerated.
