Yes it was already here, but she is not the first to bring it back from the USA, and it was here before those victims arrived as well. My point should be obvious. Trump did not cause it, he did not create it, neither did the USA ~ but he did grossly underestimate its impact on/in the USA, and the rest of the Planet. As an Australian, I blame China wholly and solely for the virus...
I also feel that our grubberment has been creating policy on the fly for weeks so as
not to upset any country....first they banned flights from China, then a little later it was Iran,..
then a little later in an attempt to run the F1 GP, they left banning travel from Italy up to the
last minute...now they are wanting everyone flying in to self isolate for 14 days and they
want all non essential gatherings of 500 people or more to be banned....
This is a grubberment which is creating policy on the fly and taking cues from the rest of the
world....
In my opinion the entire country should have been closed down at the beginning.....
But that would not have appeased China...we have to kiss their arse after all….
Oh and don't forget, our PM has turned a blind eye to the 180,000 Chinese students
starting their studies in universities all over Australia in recent weeks....students who have been
financially assisted by universities by grants up to $7500 as they are desperate to retain
the funds which the Chinese bring into the country...….
One might say our grubberment has fuked it up,......

More just info I've gleaned from lots of courses in the rolling updated coverage. The best info at the moment is that school aged children who don't have any underlying health conditions are showing mild symptoms and often asymptomatic but they still have a high viral load regardless. The opinion on how infectious they are even is not 100% clear, so best to assume they are infectious.

 

So....now, our panic buyers are denuding Supermarkets of beef, chicken and other meat. Idiots. If there is one thing we have down here, it is plenty of food, all local stuff. Bizarre stuff.

 

What sort of domestic crops are produced? As a gardener in the USA, I bet the seasons are odd (from our perspective)

The northeast/northern tip of Australia is in the tropics and tropical fruits can be grown, though most of the country's population lives in the southeast.
