The dead are still dying; the sick. still ailing. The living? Murdered by panic.

When reason returns, this destruction of the world’s economy will go down as a text book example of what not to do to in a medical crisis.

We are on the path to an economic catastrophe that will make the 1930’s Great Depression look like a mild recession.

You can’t crash an economy and expect to live prosperously. Nor can you restart it when it’s engine has been smashed to smithereens.

We will live to regret the horror of what we have done.

There is one hope, the rational will regain their sanity and stop this needless destruction quickly. That is, if there are any ration minds left. Reality strongly suggests that is not the case.

This virus has a survival rate of 99+ %; the economy’s, zero.

    Welcome to hell.

And this is why we need math skills people. For comprision sake, 2% of the us population died from the American civil war. The coronavirus has a mortality rate of about 3%. Do the math people. Of course most people will recover from the disease. But that doesn’t mean everyone will make it. That’s still a lot of people who will die from this disease.

The dying will die, the sick will ail and recover, the living will be economically slaughtered, and liberty...obliterated. All over a sickness which has a 99+% survival rate. Good luck with that.

Which is tragic and sad. But it doesn't mean that the number is going to explode(it has yes, gone up), but the 400,000 number we heard. The 1 million number we heard? It's not even at that level worldwide. When these 'experts' give us these out of proportion numbers, they do worse than Donald Trump himself.

    Stop being so optimistic!

How long has the corona virus been a pandemic? Since what, January? How months has that been? Think temporally. This isn’t a short fight. It’s a long battle.”Experts” know how to spot and stop a disease from spreading by taking early protective measures. That’s why we have cold and flu campaigns every year. Because we have the infrastructure to deal with it. That’s why the corona virus is so special and the precautions are being taken. It’s because we lack the infrastructure to deal with the disease.

Hmmm. Flu and cold campaigns? Working? Nothing the government does ever works, and always makes things worse.

“There have been 105 flu-related deaths among children this season, a higher total at this point of the year than any season in the past decade. Two-thirds of these deaths were associated with influenza B viruses, the CDC noted.”

    https://www.usnews.com/news/health-...-thats-sickened-26-million-may-be-at-its-peak

Yet, we didn’t destroy the economy to save the children. Why? Because the severity of the destruction would far outweighed any health benefit gained. A principle that we have irrationally abandoned with this Chinese bug.

Stopping the healthy from living to save the dead from dying and the sick from ailing is insane.

Well part of that may be the don't test don't get cases as well of course as the procedures China took without which it is estimated she would have had 7 and a half million infected.

I have been watching this guy since the beginning and I have found him to be extremely accurate. He predicts one million in 2 weeks and I think it is ten million in just four weeks - then.....

He also gives good tips about how to avoid getting infected which you are not hearing on your news- and is going to start growing veg tips as that is something thing people can do while isolated.

He also warns of the false belief you are so young you will not be harmed. ;)

Death rate for the under 30 from COVID-19

    LA Times:
These are the COVID-19 mortality rates by age calculated by the Chinese CDC:

Yeah, the young ought to be pissing their GD pants...but not because of this spectacularly non-lethal virus, but because of the economic lethality of the irrational insanity infecting the masses and their leaders as their crazy asses commit economic suicide in an attempt to stop—for what is nothing but the sniffles for the vast majority—a virus with a 99+ survival rate.

What about long term lung damage? Are you today an 18 year old or a 68 year old taking steroids with cancer and lung disease (from smoking?)

Also the 1% death rate is purely propaganda. The WHO originally suggested 2% but when it noticed that Western Countries were not being pro active they upped that to 3.4%. The current death rate on known cases has gone up from 6% to 8%. (worldometer) In Wuhan it was 5.8% and much lower in the rest of China.

The chance of dying from the virus is not very high in percentage terms, although it is significant still for a virus that everywhere can end up catching eventually and considering no one wants to be a statistic, but the real issue is having a lot of sick people all at once. That will overload the health care system and, in the process, also totally make providing even basic health services to those who would otherwise survive, very difficult.

Okay, we lack the infrastructure to deal with the disease, but we do have these preliminary numbers(why else would they want the testing). I would like to hope that the 'experts' make their projections based off the numbers they already get.

It would be YUGE going from our current rate now, to 400,000 cases. It would be insane if we go from there, to 1 MILLION. I'd like for one of them to at least openly revise down and say "You know what, not only were we wrong. We were extremely wrong and need to correct ourselves."

Like I said, it's a Donald Trump-esque epic fail, and this time because it's not Trump personally we're giving the 'experts' a pass.

He is predicting that in two weeks we will have confirmed numbers of one million infected worldwide?

Whatever the final numbers, and I conclude that mine are closer to reality than yours, you don’t go bankrupt in vain. Destroying the economy for whatever health benefit might be gain is not rational.

I'd need to check but if that was what I wrote. Now numbers are doubling every three days in Europe - quicker in Spain I think. Remember that it is estimated that China would have had 7 and a half million had it not acted as it did. Already we have far far more people infected than is known and particular in Britain the Government is no longer testing all possible cases, it is not demanding isolation of the rest of the house and it is not looking for contacts. We, the West, have waited till in desperation till putting people on lockdown. Italy is not yet seeing any benefit from it. This guy has been right on most things and he has said first a lot of things which later became widely accepted.

I guess because some countries are no longer testing and the only numbers we are hearing are really sick ones, it may not be made public but I do not have a problem in seeing his numbers as real. The only way you can stop this virus is by blocking it off....of course if the beliefs that are emerging re temperature and humidity prove to be true that may change but not for the UK for some time.

(Italy said about ten days ago that it would no longer report the numbers of sick but not seriously ill cases)

1.think really hard about those stats you just posted. Aren’t you implying some years are more successful then other years?
    2. Infrastructure sweetie. We have infrastructure to deal with the disease. It’s why we have the same issue with dead diseases like measles. We stopped investing in the infrastructure needed to fight that disease, making flare ups dangerous.

I don’t think this is a problem of experts. It’s you. Literally you. Well people in general. If I asked you to describe 100 things could you do it? What about a thousand? What about a million things? Like if you had one million $1 could you conceive of how much money that is? I’m willing to say you can’t. Now try to conceive of a million sick people. Pretty hard to do that. Why does this matter? The worlds population is about what 7,8 trillion people? How big is a million compared to the number of people in the world? It’s not that much comparatively speaking.

I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that that’s a typo.

Still, what’s your point? Yes, I’m dense. What of it? Explain yourself. What point is it you think you have obviously made?

My mistake. Haven’t had breakfast yet. Can you imagine one million of something?

That is true, a lot of countries are no longer testing large numbers of people so I doubt we will ever see a confirmed figure of one million anytime soon. I don't doubt that many, many, many, more people are infected than the current confirmed figure and I believe we are seeing a huge amount of under reporting, there is no way on God's Earth that Turkey only have 6 cases, Russia (49) etc. I personally think we have made the correct decision in the UK, fair enough its heavily reliant on the individual to do the right thing but it could be a genius move in the long term.

Yes. I can even imagine a light year. How? YouTube.

An inch to a mile is approximately the same ratio as the earth’s distance to the sun (an astronomical unit) is to a light year.

One million dollar bills? A little higher than the Statue of Liberty.

Did you think of one million on your own, or did you compare it to one thing you can compare it to? Imagine one million inches without a reference point. You can’t do it. Simple as that.

Turkey is interesting because according to the theory that it is temperature and humidity, Turkey should be as bad as Iran and Italy. You are not the first to think they are under reporting. By the temperature and humidity model Russia would not have a lot at the moment.

    Beware & Be Aware
It is NOT just the Corona Virus that is doing the number on the Economy

There are at least four factors involve here
    1. The Corona Virus and the resulting curtailment and obliteration of World Trade

    2.
The recent precipitous long term drop in the price of Oil and the resulting collapse and
..... inevitable Bankruptcy of the " American Fracking Industry" with absolutely NO chance
....................................................................................................................... or possibility of any recovery

    3. The problems that this collapse causes the "American Banking System", which made
...... all of the many Bazillion$ in bad loads to the Frackers and how that threatens irreparable
.......................................................................................damage and US American Bank Insolvency

    4. How that exposes the inherent Contradictions in the "Fiat, Debt based, Currency System"
.. as it is conducted by the "American FED" and how these revelations will play out on the U$D'$
..................................................................................................... status as the Worlds Reserve Currency

Ah, the Chiba Model—the one we are to emulate:
“An outspoken tycoon who blasted Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Communist Party for their abysmal handling of the coronavirus has gone missing, his friends say.”

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.fo...fter-calling-president-xi-jinping-a-clown.amp

I smell a rat. Did China downplay a nightmare contagion? What what was the tycoon’s complaint? What really happened in China? And why are we being ordered to lock ourselves up over what is for most, a mild flu?

And will the Chinese flu produce such great movies as this?
