A substantial prison sentence is justified here. "Terrorism" sounds about right.

They are going to press charges but we don't get to see the result. The deterrent value just isn't there to know that someone got charged with something. She needs a good ass kicking in public on Youtube. Maybe if a few people witnessed a little good old fashioned street justice they would top doing this crap.

As apex noted let's hope they can get some federal terrorism charges too. Let's see her name and face and send a signal to anyone who was brought up on these stupid "punking" shows that your childish irresponsible behaviors will NOT be tolerated in the least and the most severe punishments will be applied.

Times like these brings out true character. Im not sure this is a terrorist attack, but she should face charges of grand theft, assault, and put on the No Fly list!

    PA? Huh?

This unfathomable breach of public order must be dealt with:

Pennsylvania has only executed three inmates since 1976 and the most recent execution was carried out in 1999. This makes the state of Pennsylvania one of the least active states involving the death penalty to still retain it. Even so, Pennsylvania is one of the states with the highest number of housed death row inmates.

    Time to rev things up.:salute:

I hope that authorities everywhere use every available criminal charge against people like this.

I also hope they do it for people caught taking advantage of others and price gouging.

And I mean every available charge. Dig up the legal code and charge them with everything you can find, even if it's a law that hasn't been used for a hundred years. If it's there, use it.

I'd be happy enough if they call it intent to manslaughter or something. They did this for people who tried to intentionally give people AIDS way back when.

Sounds fair as long as she is made to pay restitution for the product she wasted.

I would hope so. $35,000 in stolen goods qualifies it as grand theft. If she doesn't have the cash, auction off all her things until she's paid back the grocer.

Ten years without parole seems right.

Five is too few. 20 is too much.

She deserves to be put in jail, yes, but $35,000? How expensive is this store?

$35,000 isn't all that much money. Your grocery store has way more than $35,000 worth of product on the shelves at any given point in time. The average grocery store has 40K-ish unique products on the shelves.

Couldn't they just sanitize the food items? Rather than throw away those valuable foods at a time where the economy is kind of frozen?
As for the woman, yeah throw the book but that's become rather obvious to say. According to a food restaurant site I was reading, contamination by food via COVID-19 is apparently really low and if you wanna lower your chances even further just reheat the food via oven or microwave for a few minutes.

I found that out this morning walking my dog outdoors. A group of 4 women come along and start befriending my dog. I'm not all that concerned about it, but then one of them starts coughing without even covering her mouth, just a few feet away from us.

Hopefully nothing comes from it, but it sure ruined what started out as a nice peaceful dog walk.

Huh? A 2-pack of paper towels retails around $8. If the store has 50 of that ONE brand on the shelves, that's $400 right there. There are thousands upon thousands of items at the store that are far more expensive than paper towels. The meat section alone has to have many thousands of dollars on display.
