You can call it what you want but socialism has NEVER worked anywhere it has been tried. It either turns into iron fisted communism or it is partnered with some form of capitalism. Progressives are frauds who sell their bullshit to stupid people.

None of the "ism" work in pure form, they are all just chalk-board exercises (Capitalism, Communism, Socialism). The most successful governments are hybrids.
Now finding the correct balance is another story, and can change with the personalities of the people in charge.
Political scientists agree that a Benevolent Dictator would be the most efficient form of government - but that finding a "Benevolent" dictator is truly a rare thing.
