Trump blew the testing, failed to ramp up production of protective equipment, failed to ramp up production of ventilators, and now he's attacking desperate state governors.

We'll have a demand problem because some of what we can produce won't be of as much interest to as many people, and employees who worked producing those goods and services won't have money. Biden is talking about filling that demand with spending on infrastructure.

How is what I wrote "denial?" The Presidential opinion polls in 2016 were fairly accurate, but poll aggregators like Nate Silver took them a step further--and a step too far--and predicted the Electoral College result.

I think Trump's future will be determined by how we do against COVID-19. It is beginning to look like British Columbia in Canada is "bending the curve" and may escape having their hospital system overwhelmed. Trump will likely be crucified if Canada escapes the worst of it and we don't. OTOH, if we don't lose hundreds of thousands, or even millions, Trump could win reelection.

Me? I'd rather be lucky than good. Let's hope we find an effective treatment and then develop a vaccine.

You ignored the fact that the polls you presented aren't reflective of the electoral college and even told me why they weren't but then continue to push the narrative that based on them Biden will win.

Canada has a points system that serves it well. My wife and I (born and raised in the USA) were admitted to Canada as immigrants based on their points system and picked up a second citizenship.

As someone who has conducted political polls as part of running local elections, I'm not impressed by how aggregators like Silver have marketed their results--or how those results are used by news outlets or by individuals rooting for a particular candidate.

It looks like Canada is starting to "bend the curve" before they run out of hospital beds. If they don't run out and we do, Trump will be in trouble. It doesn't matter if Biden isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. Voters choose hope over despair and Trump will represent despair if a lot of people die.
