'I am outraged': Bishop overseeing church responds to Trump photo-op

Specifically her entire statement and attack on the President.

 

Oh I see. Yes, the Bishop isn't exactly in the 'supermodel' category!

Sorry, I wasn't referring to ECUSA as "extreme." What I meant was, they have moved to the left, while other churches stayed exactly where they are. Meanwhile, the churches which are extreme (such as Westboro Baptist) have simply always been extreme. Is that about right?

The "protesters" had fire bombed the church the night before, defaced the property and had just attacked the AG with a waterbottle. The protesters don't own that park and were told three times to vacate it as the President was coming to inspect the damage to the park and the national landmark and because of their behaviors could not be there. It was the head of the Secret Service detail that ordered the expansion of the perimeter around the White House.

MY post stands...you canNOT prove it was the same protesters from the night before....the protesters who had their right to protest taken away were peaceful...

 

They had firebombed the church the night before. One had already thrown a water bottle at the AG, they were refusing to move and clear the park, they were no longer peaceful. At it was pepper spray not tear gas. The Secret Service has a right to clear the park if they believe the President would be in danger.

If they believed the President was in danger he could've had photo ops some other place....that wasn't his real purpose though...

 

With what words did she attack the president?

Are you saying that any criticism of a POTUS shows a lack of grace?

Black lives only matter if it's not black on black crime otherwise it's just Wednesday or Saturday or whatever day it happens to be at the time.

 

I really tried to figure out how to care what one person of liberal bent thinks of Trump walking to a church and I just can't find anything to give a **** about. Another case of TDS.

 

Moving an angry crowd to another location doesn't trample constitutional rights. Sorry.

 

I've looked but can't find any reference to Barr being attacked with a water bottle.

As for his visit, I can't imagine that you REALLY believe he was going to that church to inspect the damage. He didn't do any inspections. He walked in front, held up a bible and posed for the camera. As religious leaders across the country are saying, why didn't he open the bible and start reading? Why didn't he pray? What was the purpose of the bible?

 

Interfering with a non-violent crowd’s exercise of 1A rights does. Particularly when it is done with violence for the sole purpose of giving POTUS. a staged photo op.

 

So throwing things at the cops and the attorney general is non-violent? Try to apply some common sense to the situation. Look past your partisanship and hatred.

 

And aside from a few Trump-is-god posters in here the rest of the world sees it that way
