I try to be logical when making decisions. That has taught me to look at facts not what if's. Experience shows me that most of the arguments against today's protests are the same exaggerated arguments that held little water during the civil rights movement in the 60's.
If you are concerned about loss of life and loss of businesses why did you ignore the part of the post about covid-19? Is there room there to save lives and businesses?

1. That depends on how likely it is to happen. This is a conspirancy theory; it is unlikely as most protesters want to destroy the country and as the country probably is strong enough to withstand such a purge even if they were. If it happens I will join you in standing against it. But nowhere in American law does it say we must take action because something may happen.
2. If the concern here is for death of innocents or destruction of businesses the virus is not a red herring; it applies. I said that we had two problems and perhaps we should work together to try to solve both. I am sorry that the idea of working together to solve problems isn't more popular today.

if a person consider themself a victim of other peoples "greed", if they are or feel unsuccessful, unhappy, dont think rhey can achieve because the white /rich people are against them, or a criminal, have no ambition or see no future....then they are assuredly safe.
Any deviation from the attitudes above can make a person a target.

The great success of America, the vision of the founders, resulted from the creation of the Constitution. This document, this plan, is the sum of ingeniously integrated parts and if one part is tinkered with it effects the whole and weakens it. The extreme left, and let's face that is who now owns and runs the Democrat party have long been chomping at the bit to change the Constitution especially when it comes to tipping the scales in their political favor. Most recently they have proposed eliminating the Electoral College because they were upset with losing the last election. There have been endless attacks on the first and second amendments by the left simply because they don't agree with them. There has been some suggestions to abolish the Senate by the left that would give total congressional power to the the present Democrat majority in the House. They want to expand the SCOTUS until they have a majority there as well. Whether it is despite or because of the inflamed passions of the moment, this is no time to destroy the foundation of the longest surviving Constitution in the world. The Founders gave us a precious yet fragile gift. If we do not protect it with constant vigilance, we will most certainly lose it. The Democrat party no longer exists, it has been usurped by Marxists who hide behind less offensive monikers like Progressive and Democratic Socialists. Just look at the demonic new additions to the party, AOC, Tlaib, Omar and Pressley. These women are no more American than Vladimir Putin and harbor the same sentiments toward America. The recent burnings, lootings and mayhem are a wake up call for America this was all envisioned, planned and executed by the extreme left, if you have any doubts about any of this they will be erased by Trump's re-election. The recent events will seem like a picnic in comparison.

They came for two different Dem Party city mayors and they came for that liberal couple who held weapons. Several business owners were murdered during these riots. Many innocent people were mugged by the rioters. It was in the news and everything.

 

I live in an unincorporated part of Los Angeles. NONE of the protesters or rioters targeted any residential homes in my area, and I haven't heard of anywhere else in LA where private homes were targeted.
