How is this "depressing"?
How is this not a natural reaction to the existential threat posted to society by the CV19 pandemic?
How is this not a natural reaction to the #BLMob's rioting, burning and looting?

 

Its only depressing to Piers and a handful of other control freaks.

Which is partially why its so inspiring to those of us who love liberty, independence and self determination.

No, just predictable for a country full of people too stupid to wear a face mask during a pandemic because they think it's an attack of their freedom.
How self-absorbed do you have to be to think it's all about you? The mask is to help protect our loved ones and strangers, and maybe give us a little extra protection in crowded places.

 

The state is the very last thing I would ever depend on.

As long as the purchasers are responsible people it's a good thing.

 

In a country that already had more LEGAL GUNS than there are total men,women and children in our country.

What threat regarding CV19? How is a gun going to protect one from getting sick from COVID?

For those who own a business in the city it would be wise to own a gun to stop any looting. Not sure one needs twelve guns to defend their store, but certainly at least one.

 

What is the significance of that? Different guns, different purposes, different methods of acquisition.

I am not sure how many guns I have because it depends on how you count them, maybe fifteen counting all those that work and those that do not. I bought a shotgun to ward off black birds. Some pistols for self defense and a rifle for hunting. I inherited most of them from my father in law. A couple were given to me. I have several non-functional weapons for display over the fireplace. I have given away several to relatives. My wife owns a pistol. I own several old 22s including one which was given to me when I was thirteen.

 

At some point, you lose track.

As you mention, a person needs the right gun for the job - while a revolver might be great for self-defense, you can't take a goose with it, and while your shotgun might be perfect skeet shooting, you'll never hit a target 1000yds away.

Generally speaking, people who wonder why some people have so many guns aren't aware of the many different uses for them.

That is exactly what it is. When the left is defunding the police and doing their best to destroy all self respect and values, and supporting rioters- you don't have to be smart to see that there is grave danger and that you cannot depend on agencies of government to protect you. Sales of guns and ammunition are soaring because this is obvious. Look on the internet for a shotgun for example, and "Out of stock" will outnumber "available" 25 to one. A lot of ammo is the same way.

Notice how little you have been hearing from the anti-gun people? They too are now buying guns; after all the arguments about our police being there for you and you didn't need a gun are proving to be flawed logic. With a thousand rioters coming, a defense rifle and a high capacity magazine no longer sounds unnecessary either. As usual, it's easy to impose your beliefs on others, but when it's you at risk, that changes things.

 

When the zombie apocalypse comes you will want to shoot those the virus has infected !

 

Eh, I'm kind of screwed anyway. I'm not that great of a shot with a rifle, and shotgun shells take up a lot of space.

 

I think this is a good thing. People are starting to realize what a sewer the liberals have made of America. Those new gun sales represent a large number of new gun owners that heretofore probably didn't care much for the 2nd amendment.

We have had two carry classes in the last two weeks both of them set attendance records. We have now trippled the number of classes and are booked through August. Running over 50% female students. Oddly, many are millennials who live in apartments and take ubers to our classes.
Don't worry, we will make good little republicans out of them.

 

It is a natural reaction which is why watching it is depressing to watch a country like America teeter on the edge of civil meltdown
