Idealistically the GOP should get hammered in 2020. That said Dewey was predicted to defeat Truman.

    Call me skeptical

They are as bas as WAPO

MEDIA FAIL: Trump says the most violent cities are all run by Democrats; Washington Post retorts, “Only 19 of 20, and the 20th is run by an independent, so there.”

What every voter should be terrified of is the exact same people running and winning power for decades. Remove Trump from the equation and we have the same old DC swamp rats every election and it's not going to change.

The whole "kick over the anthill" strategy of the trump administration has led the economy into a recession, more than 100,000 americans dead from a virus, a tremendously bloated debt, the single worst gun violence/terrorist attack from the last 15 years, severely weakened trade and diplomatic relations, massive corruption within the federal government, and worse race relations.

And you guys want to run on the, "let's not go back to before trump" message? Please do.

I don't think you could get any more disingenuous if you tried. The economy is the way it is because of the virus. The economywas shut down because of the recomendations by to People like Fauci. Trump listened to is "experts". Yes 100,000 people are dead from the virus but tha's not on Trump. that's on the virus and China.

Yeah that is a big problem and one of the reasons I didn't vote for him but we have the debt we have because no president or congress has really tried to reign it it.

So things are just as they have been for decades. Nothinghas changed. you just pretend the world was perfect before trump. It wasn't.

Because there were no problems before Trump. No debt, no deficits, no corruption, no wars, no violence no race issues. How naive of you.

This virus is affecting the United States, including its economy, worse than just about any other country in the world specifically because of the chaos and ineptitude from the trump administration. That's on him.

I never pretended everything was perfect before Trump. I know that nearly everything was better before Trump and I would prefer the stain of his of existence, let alone his presidency, be removed from this planet.

I have no idea why the people continue to support a party that while it talks a big game about social issues, has had numerous decades of strong political backing has accomplished nothing with regards to said issues.

We had 8 years of Obama, 4 years of Trump and possibly 4 years of Biden. That's 12 of 16 years of Democratic Control. In 2024, I'd want to ask: Are we ready to hold Democrats feet to the fire?

    BS

No other president would have handled it any differently because there is no silver bullet and no good strategy. No matter what we do there is going to be negative outcomes.

Other presidents would not have lied about the virus, used the word hoax while discussing the virus, downplayed the threat of the virus, contradicted public health experts, refused to wear a mask personally, and attacked governors and then demanded that they open up the economy. Other Presidents would have encouraged testing instead of demanding that they slow down because it makes them look bad. Other Presidents would not have placed their citizens directly in more harm because they didn't want the numbers to be counted.

This virus was always going to suck. The primary failure that Trump made was not being willing to admit that fact publicly and instead claiming for WEEKS that the virus was completely under control and would go away like a miracle.

The United States is experiencing a worse version of this virus than nearly any other country on the planet explicitly because of the failure that is Donald Trump.

Why did you disingenuously OMIT the 8 years of fiscal malfeasance during the Bush/Cheney regime that sent the National Debt into orbit and WRECKED the economy? Combine that with your Covidiot-in-Chief's fiscal train wreck and you have to wonder why anyone would trust Republicans with a piggybank let alone the economy.

    Oh! Please!

Obama had the Global Financial crisis, Swine Flu, Ebola Sandy Hook and he dealt with all that whilst having a hostile house and senate

what he did not have is person after person close to him saying what an incompetent buffoon he is

I kind of feel that way too. Maybe things will have to get as bad as they can get before people see the truth.

Bottom line: the voters who voted for Trump will vote for him again (like me). Doesn't matter what happens. The ones who voted against Trump can't be convinced (no matter how many Democrat-run cities burn). So, I figure it will be the same as last time.

I strongly recommend that you reconsider your support of Trump because his leadership has resulted in the single worst global response to the virus, a recession, worse race relations domestically, and worse trade/diplomatic relationships internationally.

And I strongly recommend that you switch your support to Joe Biden because he is well-liked by both sides of the aisle, by all demographics, and by the vast majority of international leaders. And because Joe Biden is notorious for surrounding himself by and listening to relevant and credible experts.

LOL. China gave us the pandemic. And Democrats gave us the racial riot bs. Trump is handling it all very well. And we have better international relations. BTW, the Obama/Biden presidency gave us BLM, ANTIFA, and eight years of back to back riots...not to mention the plague of ISIS. Trump has ended ISIS, its leader Baghdadi, Al Qaeda's leader, Bin Ladens son, and General Soleimani the head of Irans terrorist arm. And hasn't started any new wars or destabilized other countries like Obama/Biden. He made nice with North Korea, negotiated better trade deals, got other members of the UN to pay more of their fair share, made our borders more secure, strengthened our military which Obama/Biden left in need, cut taxes, improved the economy to its best in our history, and pushed and signed a comprehensive prison reform bill granting early release to tens of thousands of non violent criminals, the majority of which are minorities. This and more in spite of being investigated, falsly accused, impeached, smeared, mocked, ridiculed, obstructed and generally shat upon by the entire Democrat machine, Hollywood, and the left wing mainstream media. The American left is really beneath contempt. And Biden sits squarely in its midst, apologizing for every position he has ever taken in his career, and amenable to any zany left wing idea that pops up. Not to mention he forgets what he's talking about 30 seconds into the delivery. So yeah, if you want to slip into hades with the world, vote for Biden or any other Marxist Democrat. They're all the same.

Your Covodiot-in-Chief has started a RACE war that is DESTABILIZING America!

Your Covodiot-in-Chief's asinine Trade WAR with China is causing American farmers to go bankrupt and/or commit suicide.

Complete and utter BOVINE EXCREMENT because your Covodiot-in-Chief did NOTHING to improve the booming economy that he INHERITED from Obama but instead your Covodiot-in-Chief massively INCREASED the National DEBT with his fiscal malfeasance tax cuts that caused more HARM to We the People.

I actually do not. We haven't spoken very much and I don't know the limits of your rationalization for Trump or lack of disapproval for Biden.

But I do know that there are thousands of prominent Republicans who are willing to express their disapproval for Trump and their willingness to support Biden.

You are free to try the trump technique of praising him for all good things and blaming every one else for all bad things, but it isn't convincing.

The virus originated in China, but it has affected every country around the world. The US has had one of the absolute worst responses, largely because of Trump's leadership. And when presented with very obvious examples of police brutality (just the latest) and an outpouring of demand for change, Trump double downed on his "law and order" praise and literally launched tear gas at protesters so that he could take a photo op with "a bible" and reacted to efforts to remove statutes that were explicitly built to praise confederate soldiers by defending those statutes.

And it is the height of absurdity to claim that we have better international relations. The only country that has an improved opinion of America as compared to their opinion of America under Obama is Russia, according to the Pew Research Polls. He has torn up or trashed nearly every single international agreement and the only examples of a replacement are the slight modifications that he made to NAFTA and a phase one of trade deal with China.

That's a nice list, but I notice that some of those, like "the made nice with North Korea" and "improved the economy" is only true if you ignore the last several months. Other aspects of the list is incredibly debatable as to whether they provide any benefit, like killing Soleimani (and thereby risking international war with Iran) or made our border more secure by building three new miles of wall in 3.5 years.

Again, it takes a real Trumpian world view to believe that the investigations and the accusations against Trump are all the result of some vast conspiracy and that Trump has deserved none of it.

    But you do you.

The mortgage crisis that came to fruition under Bush was a Democrat scheme to lower lending standards, which began decades earlier under Democrat President Jimmy Carter. When Bush passed the baton to Obama, it was not Bushs economy he inherited, it was his own party's. And Obama then doubled the national debt. Likewise with 9/11. The terrorist attack was initiated by Bin Laden and put into motion during Clinton's presidency. When the baton was passed from Clinton to Bush, the attack was already in the works. Not that Clinton could have done anything about it. Many dastardly acts and plans are conceived and carried out in a free society. Nevertheless, 9/11 and the mortgage crisis, compliments from the left, blew up under Bush. And all the left can say is to criticize Bush. It is shameful. Obama also wrecked the middle east and race relations here at home. All the riots, violence, upheavals, and excessive costs are compliments of the Democrat party. Come to think of it, nearly every war we've been in, from the civil war to the middle east, originated with Democrats. Democrat President Carter initiated the AlQaeda terror network. Democrat hands aren't just dirty, they are filthy. And you have the nerve to criticize Trump for giving tax breaks. Big deal. The bulk of accusations by Democrats against Trump aren't about righting wrongs or justice. It's about gaining power. Democrats are shameless masters of deceit and underhandedness. Such is the wickedness and secret combinations born of free choice in liberty. Your bed, you sleep in it.
