A number that should terrify every Republican on the ballot this fall

Rasmussen was the most accurate and consistent pollster in 2016. Most others were just fraudsters that collapsed their Clinton leads down just before the election to make it look like they were legitimate pollsters. They knew all along that their internal metrics were biased.

This fraudster ABC poll had Clinton up by 12 just 2 weeks before the election, then collapsed it down to +4 on election eve so as to not look like the partisan hacks that they are.

Rasmussen missed the 2018 midterms by 9 points.

And that miss happened in the poll reased the day before the midterms. Not 2 weeks before they released the results of another poll that ended up being accurate to within 2% points of the final result like you choose to use for your example.

 

Unless you count the msm. According to them his whole Presidency has been one huge crisis.

 

He's had to deal with one major crisis after another; the Mueller witch hunt, the fake impeachment scam, the March market sell off, the pandemic, and now the anarchy on the streets.

Few if any presidents in my lifetime have had to deal with such an unnecessarily hostile environment; yet he has accomplished more than most other presidents have in their first 3 years.

 

It's getting harder and harder to account for all the cheating that the Dems get away with in the congressional elections.

Yes. It’s definitely bad out there at this stage in the cycle for Trump and the GOP. Appears they’re in the early stages of a “keep it close enough to challenge” mindset. Meaning, at this point, they don’t like their odds.

 

Biden is a sure win for president. Trump has no chance, whatsoever. If he gets Stacy Abrams for V.P., the Dems are guaranteed 8 years of victory. A perfect combination of brains and beauty.

Here is what terrifies this Republican. We lament the authoritarian orders from various governors and Mayors during this viral dispute. Which State/City governments are the most egregious and restrictive and which party are they with? Why would anyone vote for more of that but somehow they do and will. Screaming about "my freedom" all the while handing over more of it to people we know can't be trusted with it.

 

Not one poll in 2016 had Hillary losing, so they were all wrong. Too bad you folks still can't understand that reality. 2020 is going to be equally or more hilarious because you folks haven't learned a thing...

 

Show me a single poll that predicted Hillary winning the electoral college and I will show you a ****ing model. *******nit. This isn't hard to understand.

The polls attempted to measure and predict the popular vote. The final average of those polls were accurate to within 1.1%.

You folks tossed out the same bullshit in 2018 and that went real ****ing well for you. Democrats learned their lesson from 2016 and showed up to vote despite polls suggesting that they would flip ~40 seats in the House and so they flipped ~40 seats in the House.

 

The ones that are the most restrictive are also the ones who have managed to reduce and slow the spread of the virus the most effectively.

 

Polls have moved from attempting to determine a truth to tools used in swaying the perception of truth. I recommend taking them all with a grain of salt. The important facts aren't the results of the poll but rather the details of how the poll was managed.

There are plenty of guides on how to read a poll and while some polls, especially internal polls conducted and selectively leaked by a campaign, are designed to influence public opinion, the vast majority of gold standard pollsters have no such agenda.

 

Gold standard pollsters. How has their accuracy been? I ask not to fuss but because I don't know the answer since I generally ignore polls, gold standard or otherwise.

They grade the pollster based on their willingness to abide by gold standard methodologies, but they also include a "mean + reverted bias" to give you an idea of how much their polls tend to skew one direction over the other.

 

I have never seen a ballot initiative that described it's content of legislation for free ****. Can you clarify or is **** all you know?

 

That's fine. But I still view polling results as fairly inaccurate.

 

Doesn't terrify me. If Americans are stupid enough to vote for Biden or any latter day Democrat, then so be it. Their cities are brimming with ignorance, crime, violence and debt. And they are getting worse. Go for it.
