Yes, they generate more violence, but I wouldn't say drug crimes are more serious. When a person loses thier life savings of 50 years due to a scammer that is pretty serious.
Lol, no there isn't. There has been a shortage of police for quite some time now and now the people who were willing to do it have walked away, cities are talking about less money on them so you would have to talk them into working that I read this job for less money. And who's to say The replacements are going to be any different?
Because you see a system that just because it doesn't work perfectly it doesn't work well. And nothing I've heard anybody propose as an alternative or a measure to change the police has been at all well thought out or would it result in anything but dismantling it. It seems most people are far more interested in destroying rather than repairing.
ith other crimes it's restitutions, as in you steal a $100,000 you owe it back with drugs, its were taking everything... just cause
so do corrupt corporations, they ruin lives - and if you're gonna assume everyone selling pot is violent, you must assume every corrupt corp is violent
I am saying we should treat corporate crime the same as drug crimes - take the business, all their supply and all the profits
Better to ask what don't they get. Cash, cars, boats, and real estate, just to name a few, it's insane.
Yes, I know what you want. You want rich people to be punished more than poor people instead of only targeting that which they only benefited from the crime. Just like they do with poor people.
This is not what you (plural) are doing. You are vilifying the institution and then expect it to still be nice to you and risk their lives for you. You (plural) call them pigs, glorify kill ing them in songs and art, take the money they need to fight crime away from them, and still expect them to come to your aid when you (plural) need them? Nice
It's auctioned and then goes to the police, and the police are not above rigging an auction to give themselves good stuff cheap
Tell me, are you often victorious when you lead these armies made of straw men? Is it vilification to broadcast someone kneeling on someone's neck until they are dead? How do you justify that? Cops should definitely NOT risk their lives, and I've gone on record as saying that. I support heavy backup and no hot pursuit protocols
Next time you have a problem, e.g.,car wreck, home invasion, neighborhood hate crime, or whatever, call a hippy.
The gain is indirect mostly. Forfeitures add to the budget. Larger budgets grow the department. Larger departments have more staff. More staff means more advancement, higher pay. Maybe a new task force is created, more staff more leadership. Many have used aircraft forfeited to start an aviation unit, better pay more management, more fun. Better equipment, better uniforms, better contracts and benefits. Commission based law enforcement is freaking evil. Works too damn good in growing police powers and sketchy practices.
Yes. They are given a pass in many shootings. But I have to ask. Where was the liberal outrage when Vicki Weaver was murdered by an FBI sniper while holding a baby? Where was the outrage when Dem AG Janet Reno had the FBI murder 76 people including children with fire bombs. Where was the liberal outrage about the recent murder of Donald Lemp (a white man) by a MD swat team? Do liberals even know who Donald Lemp is? Over the years I have observed that liberals are very selective about their outrage concerning the police. The power of government including police powers needs to be ramped down. What is amazing is the liberals want to increase the power of government yet now claim to want to decrease the power of police. At first this does not make sense. That is until it is understood that it is local police that liberals want to limit while greatly increasing the power and role of Federal law enforcement.
In my opinion the replacements are going to be worse, and over time down right intrusive into areas government shouldn't go. Think DCF or Child Welfare or whatever it's called in your state. Now expand that into other areas. Cops are constrained and watched. Police actions are choreographed in detail to protect both a citizens rights and the strength of a potential charge and court case. This new social force is going to attempt to redefine the limits, justified by being kinder and gentler. I see a nightmare in the making. Outreach workers with the power to compel treatment for anger, drinking, financial woes, divorce or relationship issues, gardening classes. Think of an HOA mafia on steroids with the power to write citations, take your kids, your wife, your dog, make you compost your food scraps and sell your gas lawnmower and get a battery powered one. I see commissar, a neighborhood political officer in the near future. Freak show next up.
No, it is not. It is vilification to publically sing kill pig cops, not to serve cops in restaurants, spit at cops and defund police departments.
The Vicki Weaver whose husband was awarded $3.1M in damages for her death? Lemp, I don't know - but I looked him up. You are providing two cases where police have been in the wrong. I can't tell you why 'the left' wasn't outraged by either, but I suspect it is because they were white. Is that what you want to hear? Now, people ARE outraged. And they ARE marching in the streets and they ARE demanding justice. Perhaps a little too late for some - but better than not at all.
The US taxpayer payer paid 3.1 Million in a Civil judgement against the Government for killing Vicki Weaver but criminal charges against the murderer were dropped. As far as what I would like from the left - I would like them to react to things based on principles and not react based on perception management operations conducted by the government media complex. Demanding justice is a slippery slope. For example, Tim McVeigh was demanding justice for the Vicki Weaver murder.
Indeed. It takes courage to admit it, and I applaud you Those who were marching, they' mostly satisfied with the process - the suspects are apprehended, fired, charged, under investigation, they' being dealt with. Those on the Left who rob, loot, burn, destroy while demanding justice, they're just having a good time.
I disagree, cops do benefit our communities. They take those who would harm the law abiding and deal with them. Law abiding citizens who have been wronged by the Police fight them in court, not on the street. How not to get killed by the Police: Don't fight, don't resist, don't run and most important DON'T REACH FOR ANYTHING UNLESS ASKED!!!!. Be truthful, if ya did it.....ya did it, man up.
