On the other hand a Biden election will have a severe impact on the market impacting retirement accounts in a very negative way. Check out what Goldman Sachs, Forbes and others have to say about this.

    LOL

He didn't say it but he meant it.

Anyone who thinks the president can unilaterally abolish social security is a bigger doofus than Biden.

Trump said he will build the wall when Schiff and Swallwell reveal the evidence they claim they have that proves Trump colluded with Russia.

I know how we can fund social security. All the cities that are going to defund the police can send that money to the fed instead. Brilliant!

I don't like to admit being wrong, but I have done a little research on what is in many ways a very complicated subject and I believe you are likely correct that the Social Security benefits are paid by a Congressional appropriation like any other government expense and therefore as you say are (more or less) Social Security is in fact just another welfare program. This explains why Trump can defer so called payroll taxes without a direct impact on Social Security solvency. Apparently Social Security is possibly the biggest scam in US history.

I intend to write my Congressman tomorrow requesting his confirmation that payments into the Social Security Trust Fund are just another appropriation rather than the money being received from payroll taxes being placed in the Social Security Trust Fund after collection by the IRS. I have a sickening feeling as to what the answer will be.

I wonder how many posters will apologize for all of their "debunked" and fake news" claims now that Trump has confirmed what he said about permanently defunding SS, etc.

Please tell me you don't understand how government spending works. Tax cuts have nothing to do with programs. They simply increase debt. Government rarely cuts programs. I'm certainly not defending how government spends money. I'm just explaining.

All inflation is caused by government. Inflation is caused by an increase in the money supply (i.e. "printing money). Government controls that.

He has been making and then “clarifying” remarks for the past 4 years. I could care less what he said later. He also said he was extending unemployment for 400 and it actually ended up only being 300 and then only for a couple of months until the fund he is stealing from is completely empty.

If your point was we cannot believe a word that comes out of his mouth then I agree.

So to answer your question of how many will apologize for taking the words of the president of the United States at face value, zero.

National deficit this year is almost equal to the entire second term of Obama’s presidency. We will have to see way more than a tremendous growth to eliminate that. Didn’t he say he was going to eliminate the national debt? Hows that going?

I love the cult call to arms :roflol:
