Not a reasonable reply to my post. Placing weight on a politicians words reveals gullibility. I base everything on results and as awful as Trump may be, he is still the lesser of evils. Care to discuss results where Dems enjoy a super majority?

 

Tell me how a person can "cheat-by-mail". AND tell me why the Oregon Republican Party has tried for 22 years to prove our system is flawed and cheating happens but has consistently FAILED to find any problems. Yes there has been a teeny bit of cheating, and it has been caught and people prosecuted, .... all according to plan and law. So tell me how our system or any system of vote-by-mail presents as many risks as voting in person does. Do you think there are no checks???

I'll see if I can find the list. Meanwhile, no, it doesn't invalidate privacy in voting. You are tracking where your ballot is in the delivery process (and later whether or not it was counted) using a code that is unique to yourself. Your ballot itself remains in a sealed envelope until election day, when it is counted.

 

I thought, technically, he said if you vote by mail, you should go to your polling place to find out if it’s been tabulated, and if it hasn’t, then vote in person. And I thought it was just a stupid thing to say because the whole purpose of mail-in voting is to avoid going to your polling place, not that it were an illegal action.

The stated purpose was to ensure your single mail-in vote counts, not to cast a second illegal vote. That’s why it’s just a stupid thing to say, and not illegal. I mean, showing up at the polls in person to inquire about my mail-in vote defeats the entire purpose of voting by mail.

But some people will understand him to mean they should try to vote twice. Maybe he didn’t say that in so many words, but we are often told to take what he says seriously but not literally.

 

Hold up. I was just discussing this last night on a different thread, and we eventually concluded that the accusation is true because she is a Dreamer, and Dreamers can’t vote in federal elections. So my question is, is she not a Dreamer? Because that would—for the fourth time—change my mind again.

Wikipedia says she was born in Chicago and her parents are Puerto Rican, either of which would make her a citizen on its own. I can see if I can find other sources that confirm.

Not if they relied what Dirty Donny said. I have not heard him clearly and unequivocally come out and say “don’t vote twice. If you thought that’s what I meant, it isn’t.”

 

And how would they do that, especially with monitoring of ballot boxes and the fact that they are sharing volunteer hours with conservatives?

 

Um right.... so there is a conservative tagging along with the progressive mail carrier when they pick up the ballot at your house? Mail carriers are almost universally Democrats and everybody knows that. Given the Democrats open support of rapists, looters and felons.... I know their respect for following the law must be really high.... they totally wouldn't throw out ballots from conservative areas.

 

So now the issue is with the mail carriers. You still didn't answer my question. How are mail carriers going to tamper with the votes, especially in a way that wouldn't be easily detectable.

 

They could throw ballots from conservative districts into the trash. You obviously aren't as creative as Democrat elites. They know how they will tamper with them. It is the entire purpose behind pushing for a mail-in election.

Telling people to show up in person after mailing in their vote also makes for a longer line at the polling location. That in itself creates a potential problem. If there's people waiting in line to vote and the polling location closes at its predetermined time they're screwed.
