That has to be one of the most ignorant posts ever on this board.

Do you really think that if the democrats had a liberal majority on the Supreme Court, they wouldn't be there the next day asking to give illegal aliens the right to vote? It's happening in liberal cities now.

It's looking more and more like the Senate will turn blue, whether Trump wins re-election or not. How certain vulnerable incumbent senators behave on this issue will be fresh in the minds of voters.

You are correct , it doesn't affect them except that they hate the idea that women have the same right of bodily autonomy that everyone else has.
They prefer women as cattle so they can be controlled.

...and what happens when women lose the right to their own bodies?

Well, I guess rape and beatings will be OK since what right would women have to protest ??...

I live in one of the reddest states in the country. There’s very little desire to take your abortions away. Just because we don’t want to pay for them or transition to infanticide doesn’t mean everyone wants to overturn Roe v Wade.
How ironic is it you are spun up about reversing SC precedent on abortion when RBG was very outspoken about wanting to overturn Heller? The further irony is that overturning Heller won’t stop criminality in general or criminality involving firearms. It will only push criminality further into the dark.

Why do you take issue with Republicans behaving like Democrats?

To the victor go the spoils.
Had the DNC and MSM not conspired to run the only person on the planet that could not beat Trump, you would not have this issue.

Nancy Pelosi getting her hair done while the country is in lockdown is emblematic of the hypocrisy of Democrats. Republicans have finally learned to play the game. Shame we've sunk to the Dem's level, but that's how it is.

Blatantly hypocritical in light of their words and inaction after Justice Scalia died and Obama (after a period or mourning and full honors for his funeral) nominated a very centrist, well-respected, non-partsan justice Merrick Garland. Ethically, this should wait until after the election. Ginsberg's body isn't even cold yet, ffs, and voters already have enough crises to think about before casting their votes.
Staged riots? Can you prove that claim?

Funny how this argument comes up every time a Republican seats a SC justice.
    Ant it doesn't happen.
Fact is, you reflexively cry wolf in the hopes that the ignorant among you - a mighty host, by any reckoning - will be afraid.

The only hypocrisy here is from those who take no issue with the Democrats exercising their power to their benefit, but take exception to Republicans going the same thing.

And thus, the GOP has every reason to seat a justice now.
This is why the vote will take place after the election.

Undocumented immigrants cannot vote in national elections, period. Each state decides for itself who can vote on state or local issues, and in some cities with large immigrant populations, the undocumented are allowed to vote on things like city tax issues, school board members, and so forth.

Legally. Whether they do or not depends on how much a given state cares to enforce this.

Can't argue with that. I had short hair at the onset of the pandemic, just below my ears, but now it's down to my shoulders. In fairness, however, I'm not a woman in public view, constantly in the news and being judged on my appearance the way society tends to do with women. How many male congress critters of both parties have been going to their barbers every couple of weeks? Why aren't we calling them hypocrites for doing so? Sounds like a double standard to me.

Yes 70% i believe without looking think abortions should be legal 20 weeks or under. The problem with it is thst republicans tend to elect ppl who are completely against it. Dems are in the bad to that get ppl who seem to want it completely paid for which i dont agree with.
I feel abortions should not be funded st all. Now in the case of PP they were not using government funds for abortions the only thing they did was give their patients their options during pregnancy which i have zero problem with UNLESS they actually push the woman to abortions which i think would be wrong but i havent heard of any cases like that.

As for the second part not sure if it was meant for me i never once mentioned precedence so dunno where you got that what you quoted me about was how some on the right. Plus i personally have no thoughts about heller precedent and 2nd amendment rights on that end. My thoughts on guns is getting those illegal guns off the street and go from there. I do however believe certain mental conditions should bar you from ownership but it would have to be extreme and most of those ppl usually have records which bar them anyways.
Btw i agree that overturning heller would magically have solved the problem on our streets.
So not sure what the point of the second part.
Like i keep telling ppl on here i am not affiliated with either party both sides have some good beliefs and both have some very questionable beliefs. However i believe trump is everything that is wrong in this nation and due to that fact i will be voting against every republican this time around for i believe the first time on the whole ticket. Maybe i would have voted for a republican had they actually spoken up about sone of the things trump is doing but there is none on my ticket. Trump is dragging the party down and subverting it to his whime and some of them are downright sickoning to even watch or hear speak becsuse you know they hate the guy like cruz and graham...

This is just another example of how liberals are all for protecting rights... that they approve of.
Gun control laws serve only to make it harder for the law abiding to exercise their rights - as intended..

I am originally from Germany. Schadenfreude is one of those words that cannot be translated 1:1 to English.

You are correct, of course, due to the division in the country, people tend to not vote for what is good for themselves, but rather they vote for what harms others. Then, they react with glee when those harmful policies are implemented. It is closely related to the desire of people to attribute failure in their live to others, rather than themselves. Scapegoating is the term for this. Both sides use this tactic. For the RW, the scapegoats are immigrants and minorities, for which they express Schadenfreude when bad things happen to them. For the left it is the rich.

The problem is: Wishing harm to others rarely improves ones own position in life. The better option would be to implement policies that lift everyone up. Of course, that conflicts with the pesky physical law of conservation of energy....

I'm sure he probably did try to talk her into resigning, but ego uber alles. Just as I'm sure that Trump might have tried to talk Thomas into resigning. Now, he'll likely be replaced during a Harris administration (if Biden wins of course).

Barrett would not be my choice, but she's no threat to abortion. She said Catholic judges should be allowed to recuse themselves from cases involving abortion or the death penalty

No excuses needed. Republicans have the White House and the Senate. They have the ability and duty to their constituents to seat a judge. Just as the Senate had a duty to keep that liberal hack Obama picked from being seated...
